Prayer Requests 4-6-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 63

You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
   I thirst for you,
    my whole being longs for you,
   in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
    and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
    and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
    with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;
    I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
    I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your right hand upholds me.

Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;
    they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 They will be given over to the sword
    and become food for jackals.

11 But the king will rejoice in God;
    all who swear by God will glory in him,
    while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

  1. Prayer for DJ: peace, contentment, joy That her fellow workers, fellow dog walkers, etc, would see her peace in these difficult times and want it for themselves. That she would be a light in a fallen world, pointing them to her Savior.

  2. Our church is having a HOP (Help Other People) day today. My husband and I are weeding in the morning and he’s spending the afternoon taking out burned trees at a fire survivor’s plot of land.

    Overcast, gray and I can see the tall trees tossing in the wind. I don’t mind getting wet weeding, but I don’t like the idea of my husband and a bunch of wonderful guys in a woods of burned, dead trees.

    Safety no matter what, but clarity about possibly calling off the afternoon event.

    Sierra snowpack is at 170% above normal.

    Baby Elly is about 4 pounds 12 ounces.

    Rejoice with us on that!

  3. I can’t remember if I mentioned that that young man Josh who had that alarming medical emergency is home now. He was released from the rehab unit a couple days ago. Today is his mom’s birthday, and I’m sure it is an especially happy one. 🙂
