  1. Leave it too Congressional Republicans to sign on to a bogus deal.

Let’s hope Trump doesn’t fall for it too, because it’s sounding like another back door amnesty plan..

“Immigration hawks are flagging major concerns about the border deal reached by Congress to avoid a second partial government shutdown, multiple experts and former immigration enforcement officials tell The Daily Caller.

The concerns center on broader protections for illegal immigrants within the U.S. and the expansion of the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program.

“More kids will be smuggled, more kids will be molested, more kids will die” as a result of the expanded protections for illegal immigrants, former Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan told The Daily Caller.

The nearly 1,200-page bill was released Wednesday in the midnight hours and will be voted on Thursday by the House of Representatives. The bill is the result of a conference committee chaired by Democrats and Republicans with a mandate to deliver funding for President Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the U.S. southern border and avoid another partial government shutdown.

The bill provides $1.375 billion in funding for Trump’s proposed barrier and funding for approximately 40,000 detention beds for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. Trump was originally seeking $5.7 billion in funding for the proposed wall and has said he is “not happy” with the compromise solution.

The White House has been careful not to rule out whether Trump will eventually sign the bill, with Trump himself tweeting Thursday afternoon that he was reviewing the bill. The president said Wednesday that he and his team would be combing through the bill for “any land mines” that were slipped in by Democratic staff that he could not countenance before approving it.”

  2. Jim’s upset because of this. 🙂

Now Trump is gonna use even more money than he asked for. They shoulda taken his deal.

“Trump declares emergency on border, eyes $8B for wall as he plans to sign spending package”

“President Trump said Friday he is declaring a national emergency on the southern border, tapping into executive powers in a bid to divert billions toward construction of a wall even as he plans to sign a funding package that includes just $1.4 billion for border security.

“We’re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border … one way or the other, we have to do it,” Trump said in the Rose Garden.

The move is expected to face a swift and forceful legal challenge that could stall the attempt in the courts for the near future. But the declaration and other money-moving plans allow Trump to continue to fight for border wall construction while also averting another partial government shutdown — which would have been triggered at midnight absent the new funding package.

Trump, in the Rose Garden, declared once again that “walls work” as he confirmed he’ll sign the emergency declaration.

“We’re talking about an invasion of our country,” Trump said.

And in an almost-casual tone, the president predicted a legal fight that will wind up before the Supreme Court.

“We will have a national emergency, and we will then be sued,” Trump said, adding that the federal appeals courts could well rule against his administration. “Then we’ll end up in the Supreme Court, and hopefully we’ll get a fair shake, and we’ll win at the Supreme Court — just like the [travel] ban.””

“Bill Weld Plans to Challenge Trump in 2020

“I’m here because I think our country is in grave peril and I cannot sit any longer quietly on the sidelines.”

I guess Kristol and company have hit the bottom of the barrel.

I think they should keep scraping. 🙂

  4. Newsome is running too….

For el presidente of Northern Mexico.

“California’s Gov. Newsom plans to shower illegal immigrants with millions in “humanitarian aid”

After making a massive Facebook ad buy in a number of swing states, Newsom looks like he may be running for President….of North Mexico.”

“California Gavin Newsom ended the debacle of the high-speed train between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

However, the millions of dollars in savings will not be going back to California’s taxpayers. Instead, the governor plans to spend millions of dollars on making the illegal immigrants storming our borders more comfortable when they arrive.”
