  1. Dueling speech guests.

One side is bringing victims of illegals, the other is bringing illegals.

Oh, and the one bringing the illegal is the one breaking the law simply by doing so.

“Assuming someone else doesn’t throw a temper tantrum over the weekend, it appears that we’re going forward with the State of the Union speech next week. This no doubt comes as wonderful news to almost no one, except possibly some of the participants and cable news producers looking for something to fill the schedule. As usual, there will likely be more interest in the audience than the SOTU speech itself. Who will refuse to show up? Perhaps more to the point, who will show up and who will be invited as guests?

In a true low moment in the history of these dog and pony shows, one New Jersey Democrat has invited Victorina Morales to be her guest on the big night. In case you’d missed it, Morales is the illegal alien who was working at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey until the media exposed her immigration status. This is presumably a maneuver designed as a jab at the president.”

“This is beyond the limits of stupidity. If the Trump property was hiring illegal immigrants and not doing their due diligence in checking their immigration status (or worse, knowingly hiring illegals) then they should be prosecuted. Heck… I’ll go so far as to say that if the President himself knew about this (as unlikely as that sounds in an organization that size) he should be impeached. That would at least be an actual crime as opposed to the Russian collusion story. But that’s not the real issue here.

We have a Democrat willing to violate federal law to transport an illegal immigrant to the State of the Union address. (8 U.S. Code § 1324 makes it a felony to “transport, or move or attempt to transport or move” an illegal alien.) Even forgetting about the security risks inherent in bringing a criminal into this event, none of this has anything to do with the Constitutional responsibilities of the President to periodically inform Congress about the state of the nation.”

    And on the other side…..

“Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.) announced on Thursday that a Knoxville firefighter whose son was killed by an illegal immigrant will be her guest at President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next Tuesday.

Twenty-two-year-old Pierce Corcoran was killed just after Christmas when he was hit by Francisco Eduardo Franco Cambrany, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant who was charged with criminally negligent homicide and driving without a license or insurance. Blackburn’s guest for the address will be his father, Knoxville fire captain D.J. Corcoran, whose wife will also be in attendance as the guest of Rep. Tim Burchett (R., Tenn.).

“The tragedy the Corcoran family has endured is one no family should ever have to experience,” Blackburn said. “The attendance of Pierce’s parents at the State of the Union serves as a reminder that we as a Congress have a duty to keep the American people safe. It is an honor to attend with Captain Corcoran.”

Burchett, who was Knox County’s mayor before he was elected to Congress last year, said he’s known the Corcoran family for years.

“My wife gladly gave up her spot for the Corcorans, and I’m honored to have them in attendance at the State of the Union,” said Burchett. “I have been friends with their family for years, and I can’t imagine how difficult it was losing Pierce.””

  2. The Clueless Leftist Jew Hater Caucus is at it again.

“Progressive members of Congress are pressuring their colleagues to cut funding for the Department of Homeland Security, threatening another government shutdown.

A copy of the “dear colleague” letter circulated from Reps. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) details their demands concerning homeland security, the Daily Beast first reported Thursday. A member of Omar’s staff confirmed the letter’s authenticity in an email to the Washington Free Beacon.

The letter was distributed to the members of the bipartisan, bicameral committee responsible for reaching an arrangement to fund the government for the rest of fiscal year 2019. The government was shut down for a record 35 days after President Donald Trump and congressional Democrats came to an impasse over funding for a wall along the southern border. The two sides agreed last Friday to fund the government for several weeks, allowing government agencies to reopen and employees to receive paychecks while Washington hashes out a budget.

The letter accuses homeland security officials of failing to report deaths in a timely manner, evading congressional oversight, and operating as a “slush fund” for other federal projects.

It claims DHS, including Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), agencies under its purview, “prosecute immigrants who are part of the fabric of our community,” presumably in reference to those who enter or remain illegally to the United States and are, by law, prosecutable.”

  3. This woman is sick. Voters in VA. should be ashamed of themselves.

“The Democratic Virginia delegate who has recently come under fire for sponsoring a bill in the Virginia House of Delegates that would allow the termination of a pregnancy up to 40 weeks old, is also the chief patron of a bill that would protect the lives of “fall cankerworms” during certain months.

Democratic Virginia Del. Kathy Tran introduced “House Bill No. 2495 – Fall cankerworm; spraying prohibited during certain months” on Jan. 9, the same day as “House Bill No. 2491 — Abortion; eliminate certain requirements.”

Tran came under fire Tuesday for her support of legislation that would allow an abortion to be performed just moments before the birth of a child.”

  4. The WaPo steps on several rakes trying to defend this pathetic excuse for a Rep.

And performs the old “stealth edit” without informing readers they had to change their story.

“As if that weren’t bad enough, the accompanying story was nothing more than a puff piece completely glossing over Tran’s remarks.

Well, apparently WaPo got tired of conservatives pouncing on their shameless hackery, because they’ve done some tweaking:”

“He definitely did. But don’t worry … the headline’s not all that’s changed. The entire article’s been essentially rewritten:”

“We checked for ourselves — the piece is completely different. And there is indeed no editor’s note or acknowledgement of any kind that the article was rewritten.”

  5. A clear (and obvious) link.

“Confirmed Again: “Survey reveals clear link between BDS and Jew-hate”

    Confirming what experience tells us.”

“There is a growing recognition that the so-called Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel is just a new form of the oldest hate, antisemitism.

We have documented here many times how BDS has a direct connection to the anti-Jewish boycotts in the 1920s and 1930s in the then British Mandate for Palestine, the anti-Jewish boycott of the Arab League (which was put in place three years prior to Israeli’s independence), and the gross antisemitic activism at the 2001 Tehran and Durban conferences which launched boycotts in the current form.

The claim that BDS was a response to a 2005 call from Palestinian civil society is a demonstrable lie. That was the cover story to repackage an anti-Jewish boycott in the language of ‘social justice’, as documented in my lecture, The REAL history of the BDS movement:

The BDS movement on campuses, not surprisingly, stokes anti-Jewish sentiment under the guise of anti-Zionism, New study: BDS activists hostile toward Jewish students, not just Israel.

In the U.S., the BDS movement has made inroads mostly on campuses, fed by street intimidation from groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine, academic thuggery from faculty who take over academic associations, and libelous antisemitic conspiracy theories by groups such as Jewish Voice for Peace. But with the exception of a handful of Democrats representatives, BDS has not spread widely in the U.S.

In Britain, both BDS and antisemitism have spread through a major political party, the Labour Party and its leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

The toxic mix of anti-Zionism and antisemitism on British campuses and in British Society is much worse than in the U.S. A new report documents the connection.

The Jewish Chronicle in Britain reports, Report finds clear link between antisemitism and hostility to Israel:”

  7. Meanwhile back in Colorado our “representatives “ are doing away with the electoral college. And if that wasn’t enough insanity they are also pushing a “sex education bill” that will celebrate the diversity of how we are all created differently and equally. Parents will not be informed of nor allowed to opt out of said indoctrination.

  8. Not to be outdone by AOC…..

  10. Trump 2020!

“Economy Notches 100th Straight Month of Increased Employment”

“Tested in January by a 35-day government shutdown, market volatility and uncertainty about global growth, the U.S. labor market passed with high marks, notching its 100th straight month of increased employment and sustaining robust wage growth.

Nonfarm payrolls increased a seasonally adjusted 304,000 in January, the Labor Department said Friday. The gain was well above last year’s average monthly job growth—showing most private-sector businesses shrugged off the shutdown and kept on hiring. Meanwhile, wages rose at better than a 3% rate from a year earlier for the sixth straight month, revised figures showed, extending the best pay improvements since the recession ended in 2009.”

“The Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics said the economy added 304,000 jobs last month, higher than analysts were expecting.

The number of employed Americans, 156,694,000, was slightly below last month’s record (156,945,000), and the unemployment rate increased a tenth of a point to 4.0 percent.

But the labor force participation rate increased a tenth of a point to 63.2 percent — the highest it’s been on President Trump’s watch.”

  11. Despite the shutdown.

“Payrolls surge by 304,000, smashing estimates despite government shutdown”

    “Manufacturing Unexpectedly Surges in January”

“The Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing index came in at 56.6 for January, easily surpassing economist expectations for 54 score.

This measure of economic activity, which is based on a monthly survey of purchasing managers at roughly 300 manufacturing firms nationwide, had weakened considerably to 54.1 in December and was expected to continue weakening. The unexpected turnaround is another signal that the economy has strengthened recently, defying predictions that it would slow.”
