Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks 2018 Week 11
Hello fellow dopesters! No, I’m not saying we’re all hooked on a drug or stupid. No, according to dictionary.com, a dopester is “a person who undertakes to predict the outcome of elections, sports events, or other contests that hold the public interest.” I got that in my daily email from that site. I’ve learned a few useful new words that way. I’ve also learned that it is possible to guess the results of ten college football games and be correct on all ten, as Chas did last week. He picked the tie breaker this week, which is his prize for winning. He actually suggested two different games, so both are here, but only one is the TB.
Pick your ten choices from the games below by NOON Eastern Standard Time (glad EDT is over) Saturday.
AJ’s note: Sorry for the late posting. Peter’s email went to the junk folder for some reason, and I didn’t notice it.
1. #8 Ohio State @ Michigan State
2. TCU @ #7 West Virginia
3. Kansas @ Kansas State
4. Illinois @ Nebraska
5. North Carolina @ Duke
6. Oklahoma State @ #6 Oklahoma
7. Purdue @ Minnesota
8. #16 Fresno State @ Boise State
9. Pillow Fight: Bowling Green (1-8) @ Central Michigan (1-9)
10. Tie Breaker: pick the winner and the final score: South Carolina @ #19 Florida
PS- Someone wondered if we’d ever had a 10 game winner. The answer is yes, Ricky Weaver did it once. I think there may have been another, but I don’t have any past years other than last year and 2016.
Chas tries again
1. Ohio State – anyhow, Purdue beat them
2. West Virginia
3. Kansas State
4. Nebraska
5. North Carolina
6. Oklahoma
7. Go Boilers
8. Boise State
9. Pillow Fight: Bowling Green
10. South Carolina 24/ Florida 21
Oops! Boise did play last night. Well, as long as anyone else who joins doesn’t look at the results of that game we’re fine. You have 2 hours and a quarter to enter.
Kevin obviously had not checked the scores or he would’ve known that Boise won its game. Do we let him in? I suppose I could do what I do with students who turn in late work: Half credit.
So, allowing Kevin means a tie for first, with AJ and Kevin having 8. Giving Kevin the half credit for a late entry means he has 4. It wouldn’t matter, though, as AJ was closer on the tie breaker by 10 points. SO, AJ wins again!

Gamecocks//Gators were playing when Kiev in made his pick. But SC was ahead by two touchdowns at the time. They lost in the 4th quarter.
