Prayer Requests 10-6-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 59:1=10

Deliver me from my enemies, O God;
    be my fortress against those who are attacking me.
Deliver me from evildoers
    and save me from those who are after my blood.

See how they lie in wait for me!
    Fierce men conspire against me
    for no offense or sin of mine, Lord.
I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me.
    Arise to help me; look on my plight!
You, Lord God Almighty,
    you who are the God of Israel,
   rouse yourself to punish all the nations;
    show no mercy to wicked traitors.

They return at evening,
    snarling like dogs,
    and prowl about the city.
See what they spew from their mouths—
    the words from their lips are sharp as swords,
    and they think, “Who can hear us?”
But you laugh at them, Lord;
    you scoff at all those nations.

You are my strength, I watch for you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
10  my God on whom I can rely.

  1. A couple days ago, I emailed my SIL, telling her how sorry I am to hear of Brother’s bladder cancer diagnosis, and that I am praying for him and the family. She replied that she knew I would be praying, then asked if that was presumptuous on her part. I replied no, that I was glad she knew that I would be praying.

    Turns out that last year’s health issue had been kidney cancer. (I got the impression that it was caught and dealt with, and is not a continuing concern, but I will have to double-check with her on that). This bladder cancer is a whole new cancer, not related to the kidney cancer, and is an aggressive one.

    Please pray for Brother and his family to find solace in Jesus, and that this cancer will not be unto death. Thank you.

  2. Just saw my beloved 100-year-old Jo. Gout has moved to her feet and there is some concern about her left hand, now, becoming infected. She had NOT received the meds she needs for gout and for some reason they’re having trouble finding her a rheumatoid arthritis doc.

    Please pray the pain resolves and they can find her proper medical care.

    Otherwise, she looks great. We had a lively conversation about the China situation as currently explained in World Magazine!

  3. Husband took the younger two to a movie so they would not have to listen to their sister. A couple hours after they left she apologized and said she would change her behavior. She is back to normal and busy about her business.

  4. I understand one of our local women had disappeared out in the woods last night. Working for an outfitter went for a walk after work and did not return. She is quite familiar with walking in the woods. Prayer that she would be located and keep her eyes on Him. I believe she is either in her late sixties or early seventies. Her husband died a few months ago.

  5. I would very much doubt there is any phone service where she is. She did take her dog with her, and it turns out she actually left Friday evening. So it has been nearly two days. She is quite capable of surviving a long time out there, but she may have fallen or had a medical condition arise.
