Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 137
1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.
2 There on the poplars
we hung our harps,
3 for there our captors asked us for songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
4 How can we sing the songs of the Lord
while in a foreign land?
5 If I forget you, Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy.
7 Remember, Lord, what the Edomites did
on the day Jerusalem fell.
“Tear it down,” they cried,
“tear it down to its foundations!”
8 Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is the one who repays you
according to what you have done to us.
9 Happy is the one who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.
I emailed 6 Arrows to check on her. She isn’t feeling up to being on the blog for a bit, but did ask me to share this request which is on her heart. She doesn’t know the people involved, but her best friend does. . .
Please pray for my best friend’s neighbor, J, and her three young sons, ages 7, 5 & 2. J’s husband, an Iraq War veteran, hung himself in their garage on the 4th of July. There are pictures taped to windows/doors in their home, obviously drawn by a child, saying, “I love you, Daddy.”
How horribly sad. May God save them all and comfort and heal their hearts.
And let’s keep 6 Arrows and her family in prayer, too.

Oh, my! So heartbreaking. Just heard from my church’s prayer team that the mother of one of our praise team members came through her surgery for colon cancer just fine. Unfortunately, the member’s nephew (and mother’s grandchild) just had a heart attack and died at age 29.
Sometimes there just seems to be so much heartbreak in the world. Glad this is not the end.
