Prayer Requests 4-12-18

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 63

You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
   I thirst for you,
    my whole being longs for you,
   in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
    and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
    and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
    with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;
    I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
    I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your right hand upholds me.

Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;
    they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 They will be given over to the sword
    and become food for jackals.

11 But the king will rejoice in God;
    all who swear by God will glory in him,
    while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

  1. My EMT is studying her head off for seven more days and then will take a 7.5 hour MCAT. The next day she, like me, will flee her life and meet us in Germany.

    She’s very tired of all the studying. My prayer–and please join us–is that she will be satisfied with her studies the next week and then reap what she has sown in the way of knowledge for the last 7 years.

    Whether she gets into medical school or not, I’d like her to be content with what comes in the future. Thank you.

    Oh, and sending a great husband will be helpful, too, but she isn’t asking for that at the moment . . . 🙂

  2. And, Alisha just posted on FB:

    Monday evening my water broke, and an hour after we arrived at the hospital, they couldn’t find a heartbeat. Tuesday morning at 10:45 our little Ava Grace came into this world. She was just too little, too soon. We are sad that she doesn’t get to be a part of our family here on this earth, but her life has touched our souls deeply and she was loved. I am home from the hospital and recovering now. Thank you all for all your love, support and prayers for our family during this very difficult time.

  3. I’m so sorry, Michelle. Prayers. I can’t imagine the ache. I always cried, leaving the hospital each time, with my newest baby in arms. To go through the hormonal and emotional upheaval of childbirth, and then leave the hospital with empty arms… Unfathomable. Crying for Alisha’s mother heart.

    Praying for her and your son, and their and your whole family.

  4. Praying for you and your husband, Cheryl. I hear weariness and discouragement in your post. So sorry.

    May you feel the Lord’s abiding presence and mercy in this time of trial.
