Prayer Requests 4-9-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 60

¹You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us;
    you have been angry—now restore us!
²You have shaken the land and torn it open;
    mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
³You have shown your people desperate times;
    you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
⁴But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner
    to be unfurled against the bow.

⁵Save us and help us with your right hand,
    that those you love may be delivered.
⁶God has spoken from his sanctuary:
    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
⁷Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
    Ephraim is my helmet,
    Judah is my scepter.
⁸Moab is my washbasin,
    on Edom I toss my sandal;
    over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

⁹Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    Who will lead me to Edom?
¹⁰Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
    and no longer go out with our armies?
¹¹Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.
¹²With God we will gain the victory,
    and he will trample down our enemies.

Baby news.

Alisha saw her own OB on Friday; baby measured 24 weeks at 28 week check up, so she’s growing. The local OB was more optimistic than the San Francisco cardiologist, but no one really knows anything until the next ultrasound in two weeks–if she gets there.

But, today, the baby is still here, kicking away.

It’s an emotional roller coaster, for sure.

We both got a bit choked up when I gave Alisha a tiny bonnet for whenever the little girl arrives, “from her grandparents,” along with the phone number of our photographer friend who will come whenever needed.

I’m trying not to feel guilty I may not be here when she’s born. OTOH, if God does a miracle, I don’t care.

Speaking of babies, little Landon, the preemie who was born at 26 weeks, had finally been released to go home recently, after a lot of ups and downs, but now he is back in the hospital, intubated. There is something wrong with his lungs, possibly a virus. His family is scared.

(And his Nana Jenn, the lady I have mentioned several times before, continues to decline in her health, and often has a lot of pain. She needs two long surgeries, but the doctors said she will not survive them, so they send her home and tell her to live the best she can. She wants to be around longer for her family, especially her three little grandsons.)
