Prayer Requests 2-27-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 19:1-9

The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.
   In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
  It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
    like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
    and makes its circuit to the other;
    nothing is deprived of its warmth.

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
   The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right,
    giving joy to the heart.
   The commands of the Lord are radiant,
    giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure,
    enduring forever.
   The decrees of the Lord are firm,
    and all of them are righteous.

  1. The weather is really having an effect on me. It has been cold and raining, gloomy and overcast and all sorts of other grey sounding words. I even went to Southern California -the sunniest place in the US and it was overcast, cold, and rained. I need some sunshine for my mental health.

  2. Kim – I was gonna say you might like it here in Connecticut today, with the sun shining and the air feeling like early spring.

    With all things being relative, though, I realized that the “early spring” weather I was enjoying standing out on my porch earlier was still only in the lower to mid 40s. Not something you would find comforting.

    But please do find comfort in the sunshine of our love and care for you, and especially in God’s love and care for you.

  3. Pray for a former co-worker who’s 90-something year-old grandmother (they’re incredibly close) is in the hospital’s ‘end stage’ room. My friend was mostly raised by her grandparents (the grandfather died 15 years ago) so this is very tough on her, although obviously not unexpected. But she’s adored her grandparents all her life (they lived next door). Grandparents were Christian Science, my friend’s only religious background is in that church though she doesn’t attend services. Pray for salvation, that the gospel would be heard and embraced — or has been at some point during all these years, and for God’s comfort as they go through these hard last days.

  4. Cold, rain, gloom — yuck. Praying you through that, Kim.

    Praying for your former co-worker and her grandmother, DJ.

    Update re: my request yesterday. I have decided to stick to giving lessons from my home, not in others’. Clear direction from the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your prayers.

  5. Kizzie, it’s improving but not fully gone although I’ve finished the antibiotics. I’ll wait and see if it resolves by itself now. Thank you for asking.
