Prayer Requests 9-16-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 36

I have a message from God in my heart
    concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:
There is no fear of God
    before their eyes.

In their own eyes they flatter themselves
    too much to detect or hate their sin.
The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful;
    they fail to act wisely or do good.
Even on their beds they plot evil;
    they commit themselves to a sinful course
    and do not reject what is wrong.

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
    your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
    your justice like the great deep.
    You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
    People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
    you give them drink from your river of delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
    in your light we see light.

10 Continue your love to those who know you,
    your righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 May the foot of the proud not come against me,
    nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 See how the evildoers lie fallen—
    thrown down, not able to rise!

  1. That this head cold would be better by Monday, my clinical day, and also that I would be able to remember all the formulas for calculating medication dosages correctly. I have a test to write, which I need to get perfect in order to give medication (rightfully so).

  2. Good to know they expect the medicine providers to know their stuff. It bothered me that mood swing seventeen year old was able to pass the test to do that. It seemed like that job should go to somebody a bit more stable…..

    Prayer for anon and family, Tim and Chris.

  3. Hubby’s urine is clear again. A urologist came in while we were visiting, & told him he will be contacting his regular urologist &/or his oncologist. He wants to keep the irrigation going at a slow drip for another day, then stop it & see what happens.

    Hubby will be having a CT scan on Monday to check on his brain.

  4. Thank you to all who are praying for me. I was wondering today if I would be well enough tomorrow to go. This cold isn’t really severe, but it is settling into my chest. My clinical placement is in an oncology (cancer) ward, so patients are especially vulnerable to infection. This afternoon, I got a phone call from my instructor. She too has the cold, and has canceled tomorrow (we have to complete an assignment instead). All I gotta say is, you people better be careful what you pray for.

  5. Also, he is not getting the physical therapy he needs. He is lucky if they have time to have him take one walk a day around the halls. And as many of you know, you don’t get a good night’s sleep in the hospital, so he is weary from that as well.

  6. Technology makes communicating with someone in the hospital much easier these days. Phone calls are fine, & we do talk on the phone at least once a day, but being able to text or send private Facebook messages at various times throughout the day is a great way to stay in touch. Hubby & I have been mostly using the FB messages to “talk” because, for me at least, it’s easier & quicker to type something out on the laptop keyboard than on the phone.

    A couple times, Hubby has used the Facebook version of Skype or FaceTime to talk to me for a while. Forrest gets a kick out of that.
