Prayer Requests 4-12-17

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia, and for Ajisuun as well.

Anyone else?

Psalm 41

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;
    the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
The Lord protects and preserves them—
    they are counted among the blessed in the land—
    he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.
The Lord sustains them on their sickbed
    and restores them from their bed of illness.

I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord;
    heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
My enemies say of me in malice,
    “When will he die and his name perish?”
When one of them comes to see me,
    he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;
    then he goes out and spreads it around.

All my enemies whisper together against me;
    they imagine the worst for me, saying,
“A vile disease has afflicted him;
    he will never get up from the place where he lies.”
Even my close friend,
    someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread,
    has turned against me.

10 But may you have mercy on me, Lord;
    raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 I know that you are pleased with me,
    for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12 Because of my integrity you uphold me
    and set me in your presence forever.

13 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.

  1. Please pray for my daughter’s boyfriend. He is a police officer, who hit an elk while responding to a call. He is in the ICU in El Paso with internal injuries and some Neurological deficits in one leg.

  2. First, and foremost, please pray for my wife, and her sisters and their mom. Her dad passed away last month.

    Secondly, please pray for my marriage. I did an incredibly stupid thing, and the upshot is that we are currently separated, informally. In counseling, I found out that it wasn’t just that and the couple of other dumb things I have done in the past 20 years, but issues of communication and anger that I have apparently been blind to.

    Just praying that she will take me back.

  3. My oncologist wants to do a scan just to make sure the sciatica is not connected to the cancer. Prayers that it’s not and the sciatica will clear up soon. Meds no longer working and upsetting my stomach. I have seemed to found the right exercises, though.
