It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia, and for Ajisuun as well.
Anyone else?
Psalm 67
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face shine on us—
2 so that your ways may be known on earth,
your salvation among all nations.
3 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you rule the peoples with equity
and guide the nations of the earth.
5 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
6 The land yields its harvest;
God, our God, blesses us.
7 May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.
I hurt a friend last night with my words. I apologized immediately, but she is such a strong woman that the very fact I was able to hurt her makes me cringe. I was an insensitive clod and I am disappointed in myself. I would never intentionally hurt someone and should have guarded my mouth better.
I know better than most that words DO hurt.

I can relate to that Kim. Sometimes it’s the “cringing” that helps me remember not to make the same mistake again. But don’t beat yourself up too much.. If God doesn’t hold it against us, why should we? :–)

Yes, all those verses on using our mouths and tongues in the right way have been copied, memorized and posted all around me. Yet, it is just so easy to do that, Kim. I am trying to stop more in the actual ‘thought’ department now, since it is what we are thinking that often leads us into trouble.
So glad we have the gift of forgiveness!! Plus, thankful for a tender heart that realizes how the words hurt. That wasn’t always true of me. I think I am getting better.

I wrote out a more detailed description of what happened but chose to erase it. That part doesn’t matter.
BG is off of probation. While on the one hand I am proud that she followed the rules and did what she needed to do to have it removed, on the other, I reminded her that she is probably still being watched and she needs to avoid doing anything that could get her back into trouble.
She has matured some these last 6 months or so.

Update on my aunt:
Update on mom: Her kidney function is getting better! The blood cultures are negative for infection. She just became inactive on the transplant list for a few days until the cultures came back negative. She will remain on antibiotics for about 10 more days. She will be in the hospital for at least a few more days. If she’s discharged, we will still stay up here in the UAB townhouse until transplant per dr.
