It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 17
¹Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
6 I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
10 They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
12 Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
13 Arise, O Lord, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
14 From men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
Very disappointed, at the least, & trying not to worry (sometimes not too successfully), trying to be patient. Maybe it will take a longer while to clear up than I would like. We’ll see. I do have my next appointment next Thursday.
In the meantime, I am getting somewhat used to not seeing well through it, as my left eye tries to compensate. Reading takes extra concentration & focus, but I can do it. (And I am very grateful for that. Not being able to read for a period of time would be so hard!)
Related or unrelated, I don’t know, but I fell out of bed while trying to get into it last night. Woke up my poor hubby as I crashed into something, causing the glass within a frame to break. Have to admit I am laughing as I type this. Only injury is a sore, bruised & scratch ankle, & a little bit of soreness in my right arm & right knee. Boy, did I feel stupid.
If the eye starts to hurt (beyond the normal soreness) or gets worse, then I should call.
Yes, I’m sure Hubby thinks I am fun to live with, if fun means always being concerned that I am going to fall & hurt myself. 🙂 (I don’t have the best balance.)
Thank you for prayers for my friend named Karen, too.
She had not slept at all the previous night. She was very tired. And I got exhausted, too. Just going downtown into a really big hospital where everything is supersized is wearing on an introvert. This is the expansion of the hospital where Art was born.
How’s Karen’s eye?
Praying for Janice’s friend — it’s a blessing to have a friend to be there during anxious times 🙂

Who is this Karen you speak of? 😉
No change in my eye. 😦

Praying, KIZZIE, 🙂 did the doctors say what to watch for and to call before Thursday if something didn’t (or did) change?

You sound like your fun to live with
Falling is always more funny afterward, though 🙂 Hope you’re not too sore …

Btw, he is the one who worries about my falling, not me. Knowing how I am, I am very careful, especially on stairs.
