Psalm 10
¹Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
17 Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
Thank You, Father God, for giving Jo the proper words and restraint. Please let her rest in Jesus now. You are our hiding place even though others do not see You! Amen.
Daughter is preparing to have that baby. She could arrive at any time. Daughter asked me to be there for the event, but said she would call when it is time. Do you think she forgot it is a five hour drive? And then there is the next infusion. And the wedding in Colorado. Timing. Prayer for the Lord’s timing and for wisdom for us to make the best use of the time. Thanks.
Mumsee, speaking as someone who went through a lot to have a baby and didn’t have a “real” mother there, (Mama Ruth left town the next day). A girl needs her mama when she has her first (or only) baby. If she asked, please, please find a way to be there for her.

Also my house still isn’t rented. Today I got an email from someone who wants to rent actually from the property manager. They sent pictures of their furniture and their dogs. I am allergic to dogs and it says no pets. They are older and the wife has cancer. Oh, my…
I am planning to be there, Kim, but she did say not to come until she went into labor. She does not want me hanging around that long, it would not bother me, but would her.
As I recall, my mother in law came the week before the due date and baby was a week late so she was probably there for three weeks. It worked.
And it is not like she does not want me but thinks I am too busy.
A small matter, relatively speaking, but I’ve had a cold that’s been getting worse throughout the week, and the concert is 48 hours away now. Could you pray for improvement, or at least no worsening? I’m hoping it doesn’t get to the point that I’d have to back out of the performance, because then my two duet partners will be left out in the cold, so to speak.
What kind of dog is it Jo? Perhaps the non shedding/dander type? Praying He gives to you His perfect and timely direction with your decision….

Mumsee, speaking as someone who went through a lot to have a baby and didn’t have a “real” mother there, (Mama Ruth left town the next day). A girl needs her mama when she has her first (or only) baby. If she asked, please, please find a way to be there for her.
