  1. AJ – Last night you replied to my comment with, “Sorry Karen. Trump doesn’t get to make mistakes, and if he does, his gaffes are front page news. So Johnson doesn’t get a pass either.”

I have defended Trump, too (to other people), a time or two when I thought he had been misunderstood or misinterpreted. Although I can’t stand Clinton, & I do acknowledge that she may very well have a serious health problem, I’ve also pointed out when certain people have gone overboard in trying to prove that.

As for Johnson, I didn’t deny that it was a gaffe, but pointed out that he was able to recover, & talk intelligently about the subject.

  2. Speaking of people going overboard, or exaggerating, to prove Hillary’s health is in question. . .I saw an article claiming she has a double, & that the double is supposedly the one we saw later in the day of the 11th.

They included side-by-side photos showing how much thinner than the real Hillary the “double” was. I looked at the photo of the supposedly “thinner double”. The photo was obviously stretched out to make her look thinner (& taller).

If something is true, we don’t need those kinds of shenanigans to prove it.

  3. Kevin – On Facebook, I have gotten in trouble with conservatives & liberals alike for defending certain people, such as politicians or other public figures, against unfair accusations or misrepresentations. 🙂

  4. Anyone shocked? They keep dropping the ball.

“Two years before the bombings that Ahmad Khan Rahami is suspected of carrying out in New York and New Jersey, his father told the police that he suspected his son might be involved in terrorism, prompting a review by federal agents, according to two law enforcement officials.

The father, Mohammad Rahami, in a brief interview on Tuesday, said that at the time he told agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation about his concern, his son had just had a fight with another of his sons and stabbed the man, leading to a criminal investigation.

“Two years ago I go to the F.B.I. because my son was doing really bad, O.K.?” he said. “But they check almost two months, they say, ‘He’s O.K., he’s clean, he’s not a terrorist.’ I say O.K.”

He added: “Now they say he is a terrorist. I say O.K.”

It is not clear if officers ever interviewed Ahmad Rahami, but as investigators turn their focus to what might have motivated, inspired or led him to plant bombs in Chelsea in Manhattan and on the Jersey Shore, new clues are emerging indicating that he may have been increasingly receptive to extremist ideology.”

    And more….

“In the wake of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Minnesota during the weekend, the focus of the national debate has again shifted back to America’s enemies exploiting weaknesses in U.S. immigration screening processes to get into the country to attack the United States.
While President Barack Obama’s administration, and his would-be successor, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton, have promised to increase the amount of people they bring into the United States through immigration, refugee, and asylum programs, the Republican nominee for president, Donald J. Trump, has promised to put the brakes on allowing potential terrorists into the United States.

Below is a by-no-means comprehensive list of at least ten times in the last couple years—there are certainly many more instances—that terrorists have exploited the Obama-Clinton immigration weaknesses to get into the United States. This is the first in a series of stories that will examine specific examples on this front.”
