Prayers requested for physical and mental stamina as I make preparations for restarting school here. Mental stamina because I have lots to think through about where to go from here in applying a school philosophy we’ve very slowly been transitioning toward for a long time. Physical stamina because we’ve been doing a lot of physical rearranging, setting up school in a different part of the house. Boxes of unsorted stuff need to be unpacked and organized.
I’m a half hour into the project and already I’ve got a backache. Will try to alternate the physical work with the mental work and getting things down on paper to organize my mind.
Wisdom for what to do when, how much to delegate, and to keep it all in balance, including with all the usual household matters that can’t be put on hold — meals, for one thing.
Hoping to get done in two days, but desiring patience if God has a different timetable for me.
It’s the last day of camp. We’ve had 99 campers make first-time decisions for Christ (that we know about) and more than twice that made re-commitments (most of our campers are non-churched or Catholic). Please pray that these campers will find a great church/youth group to attend when they go back home (we try to get them connected before they leave camp) and that they will be encouraged during the year as the “camp high” goes away. So many of them come from very difficult home situations.
Please pray that Heidi’s right hip (at least, I think it is her hip – could be another part of that leg) will heal up on its own with some rest. It has done that in the past.
I admit that part of this prayer is for us, that we don’t have to take her to the vet, to avoid a large vet bill which we can’t really afford right now.

Vet bills are expensive Kizzie. Amos went for his check up and shots yesterday. When I saw the bill I was in shock.
