I’m overwhelmed by the house stuff. I have a busy weekend ahead clearing out everything from the bathroom and making sure plumber will have enough space to haul out the old cast iron tub in pieces come Monday-Tuesday. As it is he’ll have to remove the bathroom door, I think I must have the smallest bathroom in North America.
And it’s all going to be a mess, I’m just hoping there’s not a lot of damage that will be done to the existing tile and walls in the course of all this. The people before me put one of those plastic liners over the tub and the walls surrounding it. Heaven knows what’s under and behind all of that. 😦
We’re about to find out …
I just know it won’t be pretty.
(I keep thinking maybe we’ll uncover this amazing tile mosaic from the 1920s, all in pristine condition!) Not.
A cast iron tub? How cool is that? You could probably sell it for a million dollars and pay for all of the other repairs. If you found the right buyer. Sorry, I don’t have a million dollars.
🙂 The shortest Psalm.

DJ, whenever we tore out something in our previous (old) house, we always said to each other, “Maybe THAT’S where the money is buried.”

Linda, a construction worker found the money and is now in Bora Bora.

Problem is that tub won’t come out in one piece.
But meanwhile, I may have a possible reprieve — see daily thread
The money may have to stay buried for now.
