Well, Chas, I guess he won’t be born on your birthday.
🙂 My husband got a repairman out to fix our 30-year-old washer this week. (He bought the washer and dryer before he married the first time, and purposely got large enough ones for a family; they were made in the day appliances were made to last.) The filters in the hoses were quite clogged, and now it is filling up with water amazingly fast.
🙂 I went out with a friend yesterday, meeting for dessert at Cracker Barrel to have their scrumptious seasonal berry concoction. She thought it a wonderful idea to eat a meal at home and then splurge for a restaurant dessert.
🙂 I’d sent her a photo card a few months ago. Though I don’t think I had told her I was making some to sell, yesterday she said she wanted to buy a few from me, so she looked through my bird cards and selected a half dozen. I’ve now sold some of my photos!
😦 The next few weekends are crazy, events every Saturday, two of the next three Sundays, and one or two Fridays.
🙂 They should be mostly good events.
🙂 We like what we see in the relationship between our daughter and her fiance.
🙂 My husband is making progress on church stuff he has been working on for months, and should soon have more discretionary time. (Eighteen to twenty months we’ve plowed through, waiting for the hard work to be over.)
🙂 Editing work has been steady and good. My “busy season” seems to have moved ahead a month, from May/June to June/July. Hey, at least I still have a busy season!
I’m putting a four shelf rack for my workroom. The workroom is much smaller than my other one and is outside. I have no basement here. I’ve been a couple of days getting it done. Sometimes with Elvera’s help. I came to the last shelf. I can handle that by myself. Sure enough, I matched it up and put the bolts and nuts on and started to tighten them’ It was upside down. >/b>
Oh, Chas, my sympathy! I seem to make more mistakes when I bake now than I ever have before. Not sure if it is rushing (which often seems to be the case) or what. Couldn’t be old age. 🙂
🙂 A wonderful few days with our grandson Mal. He got to stay all by himself with us for four nights. We had three days of running to various museums and tourist sites. We went to the International Wolf Center where we got to see the wolf pups. We could not get very close, though, which was disappointing. We did see one of the adult wolves, as well. We also took in a children’s museum, two lighthouses and waterfalls. There is never enough time for all we want to do. Oh, yes–we also made ice cream, which was a first for him. I treasure this time.
🙂 We also got to take in a parade, the end of some fireworks and see the new home that this grandson and family just moved into. What a blessing for them!
😦 Storms all around us. Trees and electric lines down north and south of us. We had rain, thunder and lightening, but others had strong, strong winds. Sadly, a boy scout (13) and female volunteer lost their lives from trees falling on their campsite. Many are still without power in extreme heat. We were so blessed to not have it happen to our area.
😀 While going to meet my daughter and return our grandson I ran into an aunt from AZ. She had just returned to her car to retrieve something when I had just emerged from our car. She was parked just a bit away from us and had just arrived at the same restaurant. She was alone, so sat with us for breakfast. She was up for a funeral and only going to be around for a few days. The place we stopped was not near where she was staying or any of us live. It was a popular ‘half way’ stop.
😦 Lack of a statesman or good leader for our country. Oh, how we need another Great Awakening!
🙂 Three weeks of camp done! Cell phones are the bane of summer camp! We had one camper call her mom to come pick her up and no one knew about it, not even the cabin leader. Good thing our site manager was on the ball and caught them and had the mom sign her out! 🙂
🙂 Ages 8 to 10 this week – they’re so little! Should be fun!
😦 Cloudy, rainy day for my day off today. Oh well – should get some much needed housework done. Can’t exactly get in the garden to pick beans when it’s so damp.
🙂 Chas has a new great grandson bearing his name…
😉 Wondering if he will grow up to look like Burt Lancaster too!
🙂 Congratulations Chas….children truly are a blessing from our Lord…and so are grandparents ❤
🙂 Just awakened from an unplanned nap…feeling refreshed and ready to take on some housecleaning…it's hot outside!!
😦 Took a sip of tea while engrossed in part of a documentary online. Something was in my mouth besides tea. I swallowed the tea but spit out the something. It was a fly. Still alive. Gross!
🙂 Charlie Harris is on the way.
😦 He’s a month early.
Middle granddaughter, Mary, is scheduled to have a baby boy on August 28. I just got a text that Mary is in the hospital having a baby.

I disassembled it and will do it later.
