“The Sanders campaign had long claimed the DNC and Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz had tipped the scales in favor of Hillary Clinton during the party’s presidential primary.
The email release will reignite that controversy just days before Democrats gather in Philadelphia for their convention to officially nominate Clinton for president.
Guccifer 2.0 told The Hill he leaked the documents to Wikileaks.
In one May 21 email, DNC press secretary Mark Paustenbach writes to communications director Luis Miranda about planting a narrative to the media that Sanders’s “campaign was a mess.”
“Specifically, [Wasserman Schultz] had to call Bernie directly in order to get the campaign to do things because they’d either ignored or forgotten to something critical,” he wrote.
“It’s not a DNC conspiracy, it’s because they never had their act together,” Paustenbach concluded.
In another email from early May, DNC CFO Brad Marshall appears to write about a plan to question Sanders’s religion.”

“An influential reporter at Politico made an apparent “agreement” with the Democratic National Committee to let it review a story about Hillary Clinton’s fundraising machine before it was submitted to his editors, leaked emails published by WikiLeaks on Friday revealed.
Reporter Kenneth Vogel sent an advanced copy of his story to DNC national press secretary Mark Paustenbach in late April.
The email’s subject line read: “per agreement … any thoughts appreciated.”
“Vogel gave me his story ahead of time/before it goes to his editors as long as I didn’t share it,” Paustenbach wrote in an email to Luis Miranda, the DNC’s communications director.
“Let me know if you see anything that’s missing and I’ll push back,” he added.”

After all, the majority of The Hollywood Reporter’s list of top 100 influencers are progressive liberals who donate to democratic congressman, committees and candidates. Thus it is only natural that these movers and shakers have taken to movies, shows and music to revile Donald Trump in whatever way possible. They know they have a potent platform to incite change. In the words of activist actress Kerry Washington, “We have power in what we do.”
With that power, these Hollywood influencers have belittled, cursed and attacked Donald Trump on their late night, HBO and broadcast platforms. The presumptive GOP presidential nominee has been labelled a “fascist.” He has also been compared to Hitler by a Nazi-garbed comedian, and even raped and murdered in the animated show South Park. In all, more than 20 TV shows have targeted him.
Trump has been derided on all the major late night shows since the moment he announced his presidential bid. Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Trevor Noah, Stephen Colbert, Conan O’Brien, James Corden, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers have taken repeated pot shots at him; however, many have been grossly exaggerated.”
We wil probably be in for an onslaught of editorials (WaPo had an unprecedented full page one today, apparently) on the “dangers of a Donald Trump presidency.”
Next week’s Dem convention will hit that theme heavily.
I think much of it is over-played — although I confess to having an unsettled feeling throughout Trump’s “law and order” speech the other night.
Regarding the Nazi issue, Trump is not really like Hitler. He is like the version of Hitler who appears in “Springtime for Hitler” in The Producers. Note: The mid-60s version with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder is far superior to the more perverted remake.

I don’t know who is more annoying, my anti-Trump Facebook friends who think he is the reincarnation of Hitler or my pro-Trump Facebook friends who think he must not be questioned.
