Prayer Requests 5-24-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 39

¹I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.

Behold, thou hast made my days as a handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

10 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

12 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

  1. Did I mention the personality change in eighteen year old daughter? Well, apparently boyfriend noticed it as well and he did not care for it so they are no longer an item. In our discussion, she said she wanted to get her relationship back with God and figure out who she is. I told her those were both good ideas. She tends to be whatever those around her want rather than being herself. That tends to make her very dishonest. Prayer for her to look to God and see who He has made her to be. Thanks. And prayer for the boy as well as he claims to be a believer as well and has learned a lot from this experience, I hope.

  2. Forrest did not get on the bus this morning. 😦

He seemed fine, even wanting to get out to the bus stop early. But when the bus came, he ran back down the lane.

Emily came back after her appointment & took him to school.

I’m wondering if he was thrown off by having me out there instead of his mom. He actually cried about missing the bus when we got back into the house.

  3. No. He did what any little boy would have done. He made a choice between going to school or staying home and having fun with MiMi. BG was a pre-school drop out because it was more fun to stay with Nana than go to preschool.

  4. When my son, Wesley, saw the toys at preschool, it was forget mommy time! I was fortunate that he did not have difficulty separating. We see so little of him these years that it feels almost like we never had a child except for our dear Miss Bosley.

  5. I just got a cookbook for Kindle, Y’all Come Over, which has some different offerings on Southern foods along with some short stories. Sounds really good for $1.99.

  8. I’ve had mornings when I wanted to burst into tears and run back inside the house.

Isn’t that a lifelong normal kind of thing? Or is it just me?

  9. Just had the nicest call from a lady who is going to the ranch with her 21 year old daughter. She and her husband went many years ago. Each of their children have been and this is the last one. She is going with this daughter

  10. Sister-in-law’s sister lost her husband today. She is in a wheelchair and he was her care giver. It will probably be up to her sisters to care for her now.
Hubby had out of tow work this week so the Kid has been acting out.
