Forrest had a fever throughout the night & this morning. (Fortunately for me, Emily has the day off.) Please pray not only for him, but also for Chrissy to not get whatever he has, as she had a lot of close contact with him yesterday.
Speaking of Chrissy, please pray for God to do a deep work in her heart, & bring her to a breakthrough. (And if you throw in a prayer for Emily’s salvation, too, that would be nice. 🙂 )
The reason for the mouse episode yesterday is back…only this time he has managed to twist it around and make it my fault and try to make me feel guilty because I did something for myself AFTER 5 pm. He wants me available to him 6 am until whenever at night and he doesn’t pay me for that. Now I have got to start the package again.
Please pray I can get it done to his satisfaction and not throw anything.
Especially prayer for Jo today. That the Lord would make Himself clear to her and that she would feel His comfort. Whether through the people around her, us, others, or straight from the Arms of God.
I’m not sure what Mumsee’s post at 12:28 is about. Would someone direct me to more information about what Jo is going through, that I may pray more specifically for her? Thanks.
I want to thank all of you for the outpouring of love and support I’ve received lately as we’ve weathered this illness and everything else I’ve mentioned recently. I wish I could respond individually to each of you who offered your sweet words of compassion on yesterday’s prayer thread and in my email. It felt like a huge, warm hug, a glass of cool, refreshing water, a healing balm to me. Many of your comments and acknowledgments of my pain brought sweet, healing tears. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
NancyJill, I’d love to have your email! 🙂 If anyone here who sees this has both NancyJill’s and my emails, you can pass along my name and email to her. Thanks much!
Kim – The pinning ceremony was nice. The class speaker had a little something special to say about each of the 17 people (16 women, 1 man) graduating. (The class started with 31, but the others either quit or failed out.) As each one came up to be pinned, an administrator read something they had written about their time in the program. Several of them gave thanks to God, in quite “Christian-sounding” terms. Emily’s mentioned Forrest as her inspiration to work hard, & she thanked her family for our support.
One of the hard things about being open to being used of the Lord to speak into each other’s lives is that we need to be open to making mistakes, or being misunderstood. I think Linda’s hesitation was maybe due to being misunderstood.
That’s why I wrote something yesterday about all of us having grace for each other.
Prayers that all can feel peaceful resolution in clearing the air.
Thankful, Jo, that things turned out well.
Glad everyone is recoving, 6. I had the Swine flu a few years back and really felt that I might die. Art was away on a trip so I was all alone. My temp went down some and when I felt up to taking it, it had gone down to 103 so it had been dangerously high. It is really scary to go through that!
Prayers, Mumsee, on Mike’s passing the test.
Prayers, Karen, for salvations and wellness, in that order!
Blessings for smooth planning for Kare’s son’s wedding!
Water off a duck’s back is what I tell my children. If it does not apply, let it go. If it does apply or might apply, look into it. None of us knows each other, even husband and wife don’t really. We can only know what is put before us.
Husband did not take the CDL, he hurt too much.
Prayer for eighteen year old daughter who has now withdrawn from college and is thinking of going to join her horse training boyfriend who appears to be a nice but immature boy with potential to be an abuser.
And please don’t think Linda misunderstood your comment. She understood the hurt behind it as well, I am sure. She does not speak often but when she does, it is generally well said and with love and concern for the body of Christ.
And I suspect, most of us with husbands have noticed that husbands tend to think the world should revolve around them when they are ill and wonder why we are bellyaching when we are under the weather.
FTR, I wrote what I did because I felt she had done what was nearly a very dangerous thing. I felt more awareness was needed for the plight of emotionally distressed wives, and what outsiders should not do in those situations.
I could have probably said that in about two sentences instead of 20 paragraphs or whatever it was. I am not a good writer — no good at condensing many thoughts into the nutshell.
Sigh.
Thank you for your love, despite my massive failings.
For what it’s worth…I think there are women who are in situations who do not speak out and let others know. They feel ashamed and many other emotions. I think it takes a certain amount of bravery to be so vulnerable and reach out to other women and say this is what is going on with me.
I AM NOT PRIVY TO THE MARRIAGE BETWEEN 6 AND HER HUSBAND SO I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER OR NOT WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY IS TRUE OR NOT.
Yesterday I addressed Linda and said that I saw the same thing she did but I saw the opposite side of it.
What I saw was a controlling husband who did not want anything in his wife’s life to take the focus off of him. I saw a man who didn’t want his wife to have outside friends and support. What I think I see is an emotionally manipulative man.
I could be completely wrong in my interpretation, but if I am right or wrong I would rather err on the side of offering support.
I do not fault Linda for speaking her thoughts. She had a very valid point, but I think I have a valid point in the side of the coin I see. Her husband doesn’t want her to spend so much time on the computer. It takes away from her family he says. Then she is isolated and she comes back here for support. I would rather err on the side of offering that support.
If I could I would wrap 6 up on my sofa in a nice, soft quilt and bring her hot tea with lemon and honey. I would baby and pamper her and let her catch her breath.
And if I am wrong? Well, perhaps there is another woman reading this who knows there is support to be offered.

Oh, that is so sweet, Kim. Thank you for that virtual hug.
There are a few things I’m considering sharing to clarify my present home situation a little better, but I’m going to call it a night now, and pray about whether that really is God’s will for me to say.
I, again, am very sorry for what I wrote above, and the biggest failure was that I did not pray specifically about posting before doing so. I won’t make that mistake again.
Can I just finish by saying my husband is a VERY loving father to our children? He is, and that is a blessing.

And in a bit, I will post a word to Linda that I feel is important to say. It will probably be lengthy, and I pray it will accomplish a good purpose.

I got a followup to what I was asked to pray about yesterday that ‘everything went fantastic”
Thanks for praying with me.

My husband is sick with several bad infections all related to a simple cold. He is on antibiotics now, but it’s a long, slow slog.

And that is what is neat about a place like this. We can bring our concerns and receive honest caring feedback.
