Prayer Requests 1-26-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 77

¹I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.

Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?

Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?

Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

11 I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.

12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.

15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

16 The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.

17 The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.

18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.

19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

20 Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

  1. Prayer for wisdom on reaching fourteen year old boy. He was doing very well, but, as is typical for him, it has only lasted about a month. He is back to goofing off all during class and turned in a late paper. According to our agreement, that means he no longer wants to do chores. He plead for mercy but I said no dice. Disrespecting the teacher is not okay. Turning one’s back on the teacher is not okay. The people don’t pay the teacher to be a babysitter but a teacher. If he decides to give them a good month of work, I will certainly be willing to reinstate him as chief chore person and restore his freedom within bounds. He will never be free to be outside alone with the small people. Or inside alone, for that matter. Anyway, prayer for wisdom as always. Thanks.

  3. Please pray for a friend’s husband. He was involved in a multi-vehicle accident and he may have been at fault. We don’t know yet, but if he is the ramifications could be serious. There are some serious injuries to others, not to him. The roads are wet. Cars were stopped, and he couldn’t stop in time

  4. The school, whose personnel are trying to protect the poor boy from our draconian parenting methods, just informed us that he was in in school suspension for hitting another child in the privates. And another teacher is trying to squirrel her way out of telling us that he was doing great when her report indicated a late paper, which we are trying to put a stop to. He is a very bright boy, just not too smart at times. If they would work with us, and tell us at the first indication of a problem, it would be easier to help him. They just think he needs more lovin…
