Please pray for my right hip & thigh. I’ve had recurring aches in this hip over the years (don’t know if it’s related to my hips coming out of socket from a fall as a baby or not), but this latest recurrence has been lasting longer & hurts more. One of my frustrations with it is that, for weeks now, I haven’t been able to sleep on either side because of it, but must sleep on my back or my stomach, & those are not very comfortable for me. “Cuddled up” on my left side is the most comfortable position for me, & I get the deepest sleep that way, but it is too painful right now.
rkessler – I had tried that, but it didn’t help. Something I haven’t done yet, but will start doing tonight, is to lie on my back with a pillow under my right knee. I suspect this may be tendinitis or bursitis, & one of the tips I read was to do that. (So why haven’t I done it yet? I don’t know.)
Thank You for all the helps we receive in various ways for our afflictions. It is not easy to go through the aches, pains, diseases, and greater fragility of body and mind as we age. And there are also accidents that take their toll as AJ’s family knows especially this year. Please help all who are suffering who frequent this blog. Also please give healing to spouses who have various diseases and malfunctioning bodies. Please lift spirits that tend toward depression over limitations and greater expectations for life. Please, may new levels of contentment be found despite differences in what people had imagined their lives would hold. I lift up Karen O especially this evening for help with her aching hip and any other discomfort that inhibits a good night’s rest. Show her the very best way to manage the pain so it eases off. I have some pain like that, too. I know You have helped me to find greater comfort. Thank You for what You’ve done for me, and for what You are doing for Karen and others in need.
Thank You, Abba, for the good report Art got from the pre-op dept. May all go well during the time between now and his surgery date so he will be optimized healthwise for surgery. Thank You for good doctors, for their wisdom and skill. May You always be thanked and glorified with their successes which are good gifts from You. Thank You that Idaho Mike is better. Please help Mr. P with his pain. Please keep comforting 6 Arrows and family with their pain of loss of the dear FIL. Please help Donna’s heart to be okay, too. Thank You for all our rightly functioning body parts which are always more than what does not function.
Also, Lord, I lift up Jo. Please meet any particular needs she has right now. May her newsletter help bring in supplemental support that will give a little cushion for extras rather than just providing for the bare necessities. Please help her recover from the superlative effort she made processing the book order. Please bless all the people, young and older, in the newsletter photos. Thank You for the fun times they had in competing in field day activities. You are so good to give them Jo to help them succeed on many levels in their young lives. Thank You for her excellent teaching skills and influence.
Please bless Art and me as we go to see our son. You know our every need. Our care is in Your able hands. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Karen, you might try putting a pillow in between your knees. Sometimes that will help when your hips are causing pain.
