  1. Interesting times.

The Democrats think the enemy is:
    A. Energy companies who allow the to heat their homes, cook their food and drive their cars; and
    B. The police who are trying to protect citizens against a violent, feral underclass.

The Republicans think the enemy is:
    A. Mexicans who clean our rooms, mow our yards, bus our tables, and keep the Ponzi schemes of Social Security and Medicare afloat; and
    B. Russia, which largely alone, is fighting for Christian moral values and working to keep the Perverted States of America and its Western allies from turning the entire world into a giant Sodom.

The real problem is in the hearts of Americans. We have turned from God and have become lazy, ignorant, greedy and evil.

  2. Actually, most of the illegals now come from farther South- Central American countries like Guatemala and Honduras, which have been in civil wars and other political messes for decades. The oligarchs control everything and keep the general population in dire poverty. If they can get through Mexico, getting into the US is easy. My understanding is that Mexican military on their southern borders shoot first and ask questions later. Would that our government would get some backbone and let our Border Patrol do its job, along with help from the military.

  3. Actually that’s not entirely true. While Mexico doesn’t stop the “pass thru” illegals, it’s still sending plenty of their own.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/caramba-record-42.1-million-immigrants-in-u.s.-mexicans-drive-latest-surge/article/2570114

“A new analysis of legal and illegal immigrant counts by the Census Bureau revealed Thursday that there is a record 42.1 million in the United States, an explosion that is being driven by Mexicans flooding across the border.

In a report provided to Secrets by the Center for Immigration Studies, the total immigrant population surged 1.7 million since 2014. The growth was led in the last year by an additional 740,000 Mexican immigrants.

The 42.1 million tabulated by Census in the second quarter represent over 13 percent of the U.S. population, the biggest percentage in 105 years.”

“• Growth in the last year was led by a rebound in the number of Mexican immigrants, which increased by 740,000 from 2014 to 2015 — accounting for 44 percent of the increase in the total immigrant population in the last year.

    • The total Mexican immigrant population (legal and illegal) reached 12.1 million in the second quarter of 2015 — the highest quarterly total ever.

    • The Department of Homeland Security and other researchers have estimated that eight in 10 illegal immigrants are from Mexico and Latin America, so the increase in immigrants from these countries is an indication that illegal immigration has begun growing again.”

  4. The real problem is a corporate elite which doesnt pay taxes but expects a functioning infrastructure and expects the government to subsidize its workforce through food stamps etc.

Social security is not a ponzi scheme and has accomplished what it was supposed to; lower and almost eliminate senior poverty. But ricky is correct in that migrant workers subsidize social security for anerican citizens.

Migrants from three of the most violent countries in the world; Guatemala, honduras and el Salvador are probably not going back. However some of illegal mexican population is almost certainly going back home. It would be interesting to compare permanent illegals from central ametican to permanent mexican illegals. Its also important to note migration from central america is in part blowback to US interference and destabilization.

  5. Social Security was always a “pay as you go” system as was Medicaid. That means current taxes from current workers are always used to pay benefits for retirees, whose taxes were spent long ago to pay for earlier retirees. That is a classic Ponzi scheme. When I discovered SS was a Ponzi scheme in 1979, I was outraged. My 26 year old son just made the same discovery and was equally outraged. Like all Ponzi schemes, you eventually run out of other people’s money. That is where the Mexicans come in. They represent a new group of “other people” to bilk. They pay into the system, doing work that is generally too hard or degrading for modern Americans, and keep the whole rotten Ponzi scheme going for a few more years. Who knows how many of them will receive any benefits?

  7. When a Texan says: “Mexican” , he means any short, brown person from between San Antonio and the Southern tip of Chile.

Mexicans have a number of fine attributes:
    1. They don’t kill their babies.
    2. They marry people of the opposite gender.
    3. Their work ethic is superior.
    4. They live cheaply.
    5. They generally do not attack white people.
    6. If Black Lives Mater people steal their microphone or ruin their neighborhood, they don’t flee or back down.
    7. They have the ability to restore and reclaim neighborhoods destroyed by BLM people, or in the case of New Orleans, BLM people assisted by God.

Somebody on the media needs to explain that.

  9. Just a reminder that the world should be doing more to stop this. Where the hell is the UN? Too scared I guess….

Here’s your religion of peace. Anyone who says Islam and ISIS aren’t connected is delusional. It’s how they justify this barbarism. And it says much about their religion, none of it good.

And this comes with a very strong content Warning!!! due to the graphic nature. The link title says it all.

    And just a reminder….

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/china-read-emails-top-us-officials-n406046

“China’s cyber spies have accessed the private emails of “many” top Obama administration officials, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official and a top secret document obtained by NBC News, and have been doing so since at least April 2010.

The email grab — first codenamed “Dancing Panda” by U.S. officials, and then “Legion Amethyst” — was detected in April 2010, according to a top secret NSA briefing from 2014. The intrusion into personal emails was still active at the time of the briefing and, according to the senior official, is still going on.

In 2011, Google disclosed that the private gmail accounts of some U.S. officials had been compromised, but the briefing shows that private email accounts from other providers were compromised as well.”

It’s OK though, they’re pretty sure all the big-wig’s emails are safe. 🙄

    http://cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/150-days-treasury-says-debt-has-been-frozen-18112975000000

“The portion of the federal debt that is subject to a legal limit set by Congress closed Monday, August 10, at $18,112,975,000,000, according to the latest Daily Treasury Statement, which was published at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

That, according to the Treasury’s statements, makes 150 straight days the debt subject to the limit has been frozen at $18,112,975,000,000.

$18,112,975,000,000 is about $25 million below the current legal debt limit of $18,113,000,080,959.35.

On July 30, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew sent a letter to the leaders of Congress informing them that he was extending a “debt issuance suspension period” through October 30.

In practice, that means that unless Congress enacts new legislation to increase the limit on the federal debt before then, the Treasury will continue for at least the next eleven weeks to issue Daily Treasury Statements that show the federal debt subject to the limit beginning and ending each day frozen just below that limit.”

So basically the so-called debt ceiling is a joke. They just keep spending. They ignore their own legislation, and nobody seems to care.

  12. Nope. No targeting here. Move along….

    https://www.atr.org/lois-lerner-s-irs-granted-only-one-conservative-group-non-profit-status-three-years

“Lois Lerner’s political beliefs led to tea party and conservative groups receiving disparate and unfair treatment when applying for non-profit status, according to a detailed report compiled by the Senate Finance Committee.”

““Due to the circuitous process implemented by Lerner, only one conservative political advocacy organization was granted tax-exempt status between February 2009 and May 2012. Lerner’s bias against these applicants unquestionably led to these delays, and is particularly evident when compared to the IRS’s treatment of other applications, discussed immediately below.”

As the report notes, Lois Lerner became aware in April or May of 2010 that the IRS Exempt Organizations (EO) division had begun receiving a high number of applications from Tea Party organizations. But as the backlog of applicants increased, Lerner added “more layers of review and raised hurdles for applicants to clear.”

This “rigid and unorthodox process” meant that over the three year period, tea party and conservative groups waited a total of 621 years for the IRS to make a decision about their applications for tax-exempt status. As the report notes, many of these applications could have been decided far earlier, but were not due to decisions by Lerner. As the report notes:

“The unfortunate consequence of imposing this highly rigid and unorthodox process on EO Determinations was that many Tea Party applications that could have been decided in 2010 were not. Rather, those Tea Party applications unnecessarily languished for several more years, while the IRS mismanaged its way through a series of failed initiatives designed to bring the applications to decision.”
    ———————————————

Progressive/commie groups had no such delays and received approval in a timely manner. Nope. No bias here….

  13. Chile is a good rebuttal but the US spent far more time in central america and andean countries than the southern cone. And thd cone was far more developed.

You need to stop being hard on the US. According to numerous right wing think tanks, Canada and the US still rank higher in freedom than any Latin American countries. Chile, Costa Rica and Uruguay rank the highest. The later two had little or no US intervention.

  14. The debt ceiling is a political tool nothing more. And not a very good one at that.

    There are solutions to ISIS;
    1. Armed the Kurds and support them with airpower.BUT it wont happen — the Turks wont allow it.

    2. Cut off the money and gun flow from Saudi Arabia and the gulf states BUT theyre are allies and supply cheap oil.

    3. Suppprt Assad BUT hes allied to Russia and host their only foreign naval base so he must go.

    4. Support Iran and Iraqi Shia along with some Lebanese groups BUT Isreal wont support it.

Not support isis in the first place would’ve been a good option but its too late.

  15. US oil is cheaper than Saudi oil–which has fallen through the floor leading to potential political unrest in Saudi Arabia. They tried to drive the wildcatters in the US out of business but have only crippled themselves. There’s a lot of unrest right now in that part of the world (Surprise!) and the Saudis are worried about what’s going to happen when the embargo is taken off Iran and their oil floods the market.

  16. From the analyst ive read, the saudis seem to deliberately tanking the price of oil. Believing the fossil fuel age us ending, they are determined to make money on oil while its still in demand. And if they shut down some of their competitors, so be it. Due to domestic pressure, the Chinese are developing clean air alternatives to fossil fuel so the saudis may be right.

The Saudis real problem like most of the middle east is demographic. A huge cohort of young men with no possibility of marriage (at least in the traditional manner). A demographic bulge of this nature is.a recipe for crime, violence, fanaticism and inssurection especially given the fossilized leadership.
