Prayers for wisdom as I decide where to go for the last 3 1/2 weeks of my time here. I have to leave the missions house next week and need to decide where to go.
With all those free flights you get, you can criss cross the country. BWI will get you AJ and Linda. Pensacola or New Orleans will get you me. Houston International will get AnnMS. ATL will get you Janice.
You can come back here. We’ve got VBS running the last week of June and you’d be welcome to join us and 200 children–a good way to get you back into the rhythm. 🙂
My daughter is pretty stressed trying to figure out the weird sleep cycles with 11 hour night shifts coupled with needing to finish 20 hours of volunteer work at USC’s ER so she can finish off her med school applications.
It’s a rolling application process but it started last week and you all know how vicious those pre-meds are . . . She’s anxious and nervous.
Anyway, prayers that she can figure out how to sleep, stay motivated, keep engaged and not lose her sanity, much less her spiritual life–would be appreciated. Thanks.
You could come here. We could sit on the deck and watch the grass grow (company is a handy excuse to let the weeds take over). Lots of fresh water available.
The fun never stops. (That’s sarcasm, if ya couldn’t tell.)
We’ve been so relieved this past week, seeing how quickly Ralph (the man working on buying Lee’s route) has been working on filling out & submitting the various paperwork. (One thing all the Independent Operators need to do is file as an LLC – Limited Liability Company – so he had to get that taken care of, too.)
Now Lee finds out that the company will probably reject Ralph’s application to buy Lee’s route, because of past history with him. 😦
Now, the West Hartford schools are going out to bid for the next school year. Lee had to pay for those schools, so if Bimbo loses the account, that amount of money will be dropped from his asking price. (As it is, he is only asking market value.) He was hoping to be able to sell the route while the schools were still part of it.
Please pray that one of the other men who are still interested in the route will be able to buy it, & that the route doesn’t lose the West Hartford schools. And please pray for Lee to be encouraged & not lose heart. He sounded so down on the phone. Thank you.
Our friend, Kim, is having her surgery very early in the morning. A lot of what will be done depends upon the extent of the cancer. Please pray for her and this family. She is only in her mid-fifties and her family has suffered so much. Please pray for peace, strength and wisdom for all involved.

Again with the prayers for BG. She starts summer school today. She is also still pouting with her father and me.
