Some of my liberal Jewish friends on FB are very upset by the congressional invite, saying it’s disrespectful of the president and undermines his authority in foreign affairs; they believe it will cause all kinds for our foreign policy.
It does present us as a divided country to the world … But that’s what we are now, essentially. 😦
