Prayer Requests 11-15-14

Anyone have a request or a praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 133

¹Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

  1. Praising & thanking God that He is able to take what is irretrievably broken & unfixable in our human eyes, & fix it & make it beautiful.

    I am not writing this because of something that has happened, but I am writing this because I have faith that He can do this in a certain situation in our family.

    I thank & praise & worship our awesome God!

  2. I got this e-mail concerning someone from the SBC International Mission Board. I get several a week but don’t pass them on here. But this begs for special prayer for the family, the guy has a rough road ahead.

    This past week we received a phone call telling us of a teammate in another city that was experiencing some medical problems. She had been dealing with a bit of sickness from a bacterial infection and then began complaining of chest pains. The family decided to leave the next day to go t Dubai for medical treatment. Shortly after leaving their small town to go to the next town that had an airport, this young lady lost consciousness. They returned to their smaller town and went to the hospital. Sadly after about an hour of CPR, the doctors pronounced this young lady dead. She was only 36 years old (and it was her birthday). She leaves behind a husband and 4 children – ages 6, 4, 2, and 5 months. This family has been working in our country for over 10 years. The remaining family members are leaving the country this week to return to the states. Please remember this family – Tom and his children – as they move on and try to begin life again in the States.

  3. Praise: My sister needed clothes for Deste. I posted a request on the Facebook page for my neighborhood this morning and have had numerous replies. I’m going to pick up things from three different women momentarily. Yay!!!

  4. Heavenly Father,

    I join in prayer with my brothers and sisters in Christ here for the mentioned needs. As Karen O said, You are able to repair and fix broken things. Since You can create something from nothing then we know You can certainly repair and make something new when needs arise.

    I praise You Lord that finally I heard today that my friend Karen ‘ s infection seemed cleared so she can get back to her therapy to get her knee usable after her replacement surgery.

    Lord, please be with that family mentioned by Chas that has suffered such a tremendous loss. Help Tom to process his grief as he tries to meet the needs of his young children. What an awful tragedy for all involved right before the holidays. Please give a full force of support for Tom.

    Lord, I ask for a good report from my husband’s doctor visit tomorrow. I also pray for all those students on the Emory campus that have fallen I’ll right at midterm time. Help them to quickly recuperate and be able to get their assignments in without delay.

    I pray for those here who are missionaries in one form or another. Some are in foreign places that have unique safety and health issues. Others are here in the states reaching people, young and old, in their communities. You know what the needed resources are for each. I ask for Your very best provision so they do not have stress that takes away from their primary calling.

    Lord, I ask Your blessing to be felt in the lives of those who have special needs right now whether related to employment, health insurance, relationships, travel plans, safety, pets that are missing or ill, loved ones who need to believe in Jesus, grandchildren who have special needs, writers who have pressing deadlines, and all the other unmentioned situations that You know of that I have failed to recall at this moment. Thank You for carefully making a way through these human struggles. Thank You for Your strength when we are week. Thank You for keeping us company when we get lonesome. Thank You for loving us first. You are at all times worthy of our praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Forrest has been pretty sick today, & has had a fever. His expression has shown he feels miserable, he has clung to his mommy all day, & he has slept a lot. Usually when he’s sick, he’ll still be in a pretty playful mood, so for him to be like he is today, we know he’s feeling very poorly. Chrissy & I will be babysitting tomorrow, all day, so I hope he feels better, & will be content to be cuddly with us if he’s still not feeling well.
