Prayer Requests 10-24-14

It’s Friday, so don’t forget to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nest.

Anyone have a request or a praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 115

¹Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord‘s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.

18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.

  1. Prayers for stamina and calm in what has been a hectic stretch for me in the past few weeks, both work wise & on weekends. There’s just a lot on my plate right now — nothing major, just dozens of tasks to finish and take care of — and a very long “to do” or “ought to do” list still waiting beyond that. I feel more stressed than usual.

And that makes me want to just pack up the dogs & run away from home. 😉

  2. Lee is worried about maybe going bankrupt. If that were to happen, we’d lose our house. I’m struggling with how to plead with God for us not to lose our house, without making it an idol that I’m not willing to give up. But this house allows us to have Emily & Forrest with us, comfortably, & has a nice backyard for our active little grandson.

  3. R told Emily today that he is now homeless. If this is true, it means his mom & step-dad kicked him out of their house. He’s been saying for a month that his mom kicked him out, but he was still living there, so Emily thought he was just being dramatic, as he is wont to do.

Praying that, as he is in a “hitting bottom” situation (no home, no job), he will call out to God & be saved.
