Many are working and meeting with lots of folks to figure out what to do about the bridge. Some creative ideas. Pray that God uses this for good and to bring us closer to all of our neighbors. The collapse did not catch God by surprise and He will use it for His good.
Please pray for continued recovery for my husband. Yesterday was a good day, regular extra strength Tylenol only once for painkillers. Still taking the anti-inflammatory. Needed more at night but slept well.
If the engineers work as fast as they did on Upward Road in Henderson County, they can have another bridge in five years.

We had a quick one built down across the Clearwater in Kamiah. But they forgot about the people up on the mountain and had to redo part of it to let them in. Cost a lot of money as they had to buy more land from the Tribe and bring down a lot of mountain.

Donna, I posted several links on facebook. and did another link just now that shows the bridge formerly and then two days this week. Yes, Chas, they do have vehicles on each side for rides and landowners are now charging to wade across slightly down river.
Thanks for the prayers per my request yesterday (regarding 3rd Arrow’s driving instruction). My conversation went fine with the instructor, and the situation appears to be resolved.

I would start a taxi company. A car on each side of the bridge. The banks are too steep for a ferry.

Thanks Jo, didn’t see any earlier on FB but I’ll check again. It’s smaller than I envisioned I guess — and more rickety!
Amazing it held out as long as it did.
(And I was just reminded of a park project in our area in which the groundbreaking was in 2004 — and it still hasn’t been developed)
