62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulcher be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66 So they went, and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Thank You for the beauty of spring in Atlanta. Flowers are blooming everywhere. Just going down a regular street feels like being in a beautiful park at this time of year.
Lord, again I lift up B G. She’s at a crossroads in her young life and is trying different avenues of beliefs to see what fits with her experience thus far in life. I pray You, along with tbe work of the Holy Spirit, will guide her to have unddrstanding of Jesus. Make her discerning of Jesus as being the only way You have chosen for living life abundantly for all eternity. Pleade give her great amounts of wisdom that will leaf her on paths of righteousness. Please keep her safe from running with tempation. I pray that you would put good people all along her path. I pray the same for the children and grandchildren of my friends here. You know, Abba, how we cherish our children. Please, if possible, may they do what is right and make us proud. I pray in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen
I like the phrase, “running with temptation”. It isn’t sin being tempted, but sooner or later, it will catch you. The only real lesson from the life of Samson, that it will get you eventually.
Here was a man with great potential, who spent his life teasing sin.
It caught him.
Please pray for a man here (AB). He was a watchman on the missionary compound for over 25 years and watched over the missionaries (especially the single women) like a father. He had a stroke 2 years ago and was doing better, but he is going downhill again. I went to see him this morning and shared the gospel with him and his wife again. Pray that God would do a work in both of their hearts. They have heard the gospel many times before, but you never know what God will use to reach someone.
I join my prayer to the long line of prayers over a quarter of a century for Mr. AB and his wife. May one of the prayers You hear today from this site perhaps be the breakthrough prayer that stirs Your saving heart at the right moment for this couple to finally have understanding of who Jesus is to them. They obviously have a heart for people. May they understand the reason they like people is because You made people in Your image.May the spark of Your image in them so desire Jesus this Easter that they are brought through the threshhold of belief. May they never doubt again Your love and goodness that reaches out to lead them to Jesus. Please save their souls for eternity and for reuniting with those who are already in heaven. Let us hear the new story of M.r & Mrs. AB who were saved at Eastertime 2014. May You be glorified for Your working this out in Your timeframe. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen
I believe the earthquake was out in the islands. I live on the mainland, in the highlands and did not feel anything. We have heard of quite a few earthquakes in Bougainville.
We have a YWAM missionary in our church. They do Justice Water in Haiti. Thank you so much for the prayers. Please continue to pray. We had a good day. She started opening up to me. I said too much and she shut down. I just want to surround her in prayer. Thank you again and again.
I lift up our friends in earthquake prone areas that You would give divine protection against natural disasters.
With tomorrow being Easter and as more various forms of persecution seem to be targeting Christians throughout the world I pray for divine protection wherever Christians gather to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your plan, for His obedience, for the great commission that managed to reach me and other lost sheep through the ages. Thank You for the irresistible drawing power of the Holy Spirit. How great is our Three-In-One God who loves us in supernatural intensity. Thank You for delighting in us even when we act on earth at times in humanly unlovable ways. Your heart is so compassionate. Help me and all the others here on this site to show Christian love to others even when we are treated poorly by them. Only through Christ is that possible. In His name I pray, Amen
Kim, what I do in situations like that is pray for guidance and then assume that whatever happens is the right thing in the eternal scheme of things.
You know then you’ve done your part.
Like the lesson I mentioned on the other thread. I always pray for guidance, then assume that the right thing happened.
Just talked to our daughter on the phone. She is much calmer and seems to be thinking clearer, but still needs to talk to the school to find out what needs to happen next. Please continue to pray for her (and for us). Thank you.
Thank you to those of you who have been praying about my decision on whether to return to piano teaching. To recap, my husband had brought up the possibility a few weeks ago or so. I contemplated it, and decided a few days ago that I would do it. I told my husband, and began getting some preliminary plans in place in order to reestablish my business.
Today my husband changed his mind and decided he didn’t want me to do it after all (nor any other work for income, presumably).
Please continue to pray for us as we make financial and other decisions related to running our household.
Please remember to pray for BG.

I’m not sure if this will be in Jo’s area, but there is a YWAM team there right now that includes a young lady that we know. Please pray for this area as well.

Kim, I often say too much with my daughter too. It’s hard to find the line – what must be said, and what should be left unsaid. Prayers.

Praying, Kim.
I’ve done that, too – saying too much & watching my daughter (either one) shut down. Nowadays I may err on the other side, & not say enough.

But Kim, an honest apology about the saying too much can go a long way to opening her up again.
