  1. 🙂 Aj’s photo gallery and slide show. I know who the kittens belogn to, buy how about the dog on the pillow?
I”ll have to send a picture of my pet someday. 😆

Is that Peter’s house? And is that the Mississippi? It’s a big river even up there.

🙂 I went back to recheck my income tax one last time. I discovered a mistake that I corrected. It saved me a bunch of money. I corrected it and only had to send $65.00. That was a big deal.
    🙂 🙂

  2. 🙂 Saturday!

😦 Forecast means D1 and family aren’t coming to visit. And we’ll probably not have church tomorrow.

    😦 More snow.

🙂 But at least it means more ground water for the crops. 😦 If the ground ever thaws so the moisture can soak into it.

  3. When I was at Southwestern Seminary, there was discussion/controversy about whether a pastor should marry a person who had been divorced. Seriously.
My opinion was that we shouldn’t exclude them because while at Carolina, I roomed at a house where the daughter had been divorced. She was Baptist and said she would nemer marry again. She was about 30, had a child and I thought she needed a husband. She would have made some man a good wife.
I was going with Elverqa at the time, in case anyone wonders about that.
    I never knew what happened.

  4. 😦 More snow coming.

😦 Broken toe and the boredom of sitting with my leg up.

😦 These horrible stories coming out about Bill Gothard.

😦 The people I know personally who have been under his influence (whether or not they realize it). And the people I don’t know who have. 🙂 That at long last it is all coming out.

🙂 It’s March, and the snow simply must start melting in earnest sometime this month.

  5. 🙂 Rain and more rain. I forgot how much I missed days and nights like these.

😦 This is probably all we’ll get and we’re still under drought conditions.

🙂 I was wearing boots & stepped in a few puddles yesterday when I went out on a story. Just because.

😦 Got lost trying to find where I was going for the above story — it took me into the depths of container truck-and-train land at the port where no streets are marked and my Jeep was the smallest vehicle around.

🙂 Thanks to GPS on my phone, I finally got there (at a small, tucked-away boat marina where people live on their boats). My source had told me on the phone earlier “Oh, you can’t miss it.” Um, yes you really can. And I did, a couple times.

🙂 My Jeep is clean-clean-clean, thanks to the rain. Nature’s car wash.

😦 My kitchen floor is muddy-muddy-muddy, thanks to the rain and dogs & a cat with dirty, wet paws.

🙂 Looking forward to a picture of Chas’ pet rock.

  6. 🙂 had a most delightful get together with 5 couples from church last night..great time of fellowship
😦 when we left last night it was discovered 3 of our friend’s cars had been towed….they were parked in a fire lane….it will cost each of them $340 to retrieve their autos…
😦 the fire lane was not clearly marked…it appeared the two obscure signs prohibited parking down an adjoining lane…grrrrr
🙂 our Pastor’s car was parked there as well….and it was not towed…hmmmmm

  7. 🙂 Excellent turn out for our HOP (Help Other People) day at church: 120 of all ages baking cookies, pulling weeds, sorting papers at the PCC (my job), writing letters, helping a widow, assisting at a ministry-run thrift store, and I can’t remember everything else. The families with little children were tasked with delivering the home made cookies to fire stations and police stations. The boys returned sporting fire hats!

16 “care bags,” were handed to homeless people and lots of odd jobs done. We finished with a delicious lunch at the end because with our recent rain (!!!!!), the afternoon session was called off. Everyone was happy to go home and tackle their own chores!

    🙂 Rain!!!!

    😦 Not enough rain!!!!!

🙂 Clever adorable grandchildren. The 2.5 year old missed her cousins yesterday (they live 3 miles away from her), so she asked her mother if they could Skype! I love the thought of the 4, 2.5 and 1.5 year old girls chatting together over the Internet! (When I don’t–it bothers me they know all this already!)

🙂 The end of my novel is in sight! I hope to finish by Easter, and that’s still the goal, but I can see it now–probably only another 10 chapters to write, and that is so exciting!

😦 Oswald Chambers probably is going to die tomorrow and I’m sad just thinking about it, much less writing it. 😦

🙂 Trip next weekend to Seattle to watch our nephew start as the official goal keeper for the national champion Kansas City Sporting Soccer team. We’re excited for him; couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

    🙂 Loving the photos.

  8. Michelle- I thought Oswald Chambers died 100 years ago, and wondered what you meant. Then I realized he is in your WWI novel.

  9. Lots of 😦 today with Cheryl’s toe, the towing incident and even kare having to drive in that vicious cold. That is no fun.

😦 The way doctors seem to give check ups these days. The contrast to when I first had to have these is amazing. I was also disgusted to have my doctor send in prescriptions BEFORE he had the blood work. I had to point out that the number of one test was actually from a year earlier. This is a new doctor. Most come for a bit and then leave. That makes it difficult to really have any relationship with one. The next day, AFTER the blood work, his nurse calls and tells me about a change. That is great since, as I pointed out to her, I already just paid for the ones he already called in for me. Even she recognized how foolish this was. As with many things, the young will not even realize what we have lost. I don’t blame it on the ACA. This started quite awhile ago.

🙂 Access to doctors and medications when we need it.

  10. 🙂 Thunder and lightning and lots of pounding hail. Water surging down our hilly streets.

😦 Freaked out dogs. “It’s called weather,” I told them. “Most dogs live with this all the time.”

Kare, does your Jeep have heated seats? Best invention ever.

  11. 😦 Three incredibly sad, stressful days when our little guy was gone.

🙂 A very happy reunion when he came home!

🙂 Daughter has a lawyer on her side, papers are filed with the court, the ball is rolling on the custody case.

🙂 Tenants should be moved out by March 15. Then we girls will do some cleaning upstairs, & get the carpet cleaned (we have a carpet cleaner, so we can do it ourselves), before moving them & Forrest up there.

😦 Hubby’s very long hours. Today was especially long, & he came home exhausted. He does have to go out in the morning to “pack out” (make sure the big supermarkets have enough bread on the shelves), but, at my suggestion, he’ll go out later than usual, so he can sleep in more than usual.

This means we won’t make it to church, but we can watch online, & I suggested he listen to praise music while he’s driving.

  12. :)Yes, heated seats!

🙂 I didn’t have to drive, the boss was able to go and we had a fun day.

😦 It was just so cold, so very, very cold.
