Prayer Requests 2-26-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share with us?

And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Gambia and those ministering there. 🙂

Psalm 33

¹Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

  1. Prayers requested for my dad. I got an email from my sister saying that my mom had called her this morning to tell her that last night my dad had an episode lasting about 15-20 minutes where he could only see 1/2 of the image on the TV screen. My sister encouraged them to call the doctor to check on the possibility of a TIA or stroke.

  2. Please pray for Hubbykins–on several levels–he is in pain most of the time, but says very little about it. We did discover that we go to church with one of the best pain management specialists in the Southeast. People come from all over to study with him.

  3. And wisdom for husband. He talked with his doctor who told him there would be no problem accepting the job, the meds would work for him just fine. Husband accepted the job and when he asked the doc about the meds, the doc told him he could not start them because he has to be monitored while taking them. He would prefer not to take the meds unless absolutely necessary, but he wants to be able to do the job to the best of his ability. Wisdom. Why am I always asking for wisdom….thanks.

  4. Please continue praying for Emily to be drawn to the Lord through the intense pain of this latest crisis. We have no idea when we will see Forrest again, but Emily did get a lawyer today (Lee & I will be paying him).

That’s another thing…Please pray for provision to pay the lawyer, on top of our other expenses. And for God’s favor upon Emily in the coming court decisions (whenever that might be). Thank you.

Our hearts are aching for our little guy, who we know misses his mommy & his home.

  5. oh, Karen, that is so hard. The pain you feel for your grandchild, I can’t imagine.
Father God, we ask that you would intervene for Forrest. You know what is best for him and you love him. Comfort him and bring him home soon. Use this very sorrowful situation for the good of all – meaning to bring about a safe place legally. You know the heartache, comfort, comfort your people and may they seek You in the midst of this

  6. My friend who was taken to Cairns has meningitis. Please pray for a bed to open up in the hospital, she is still just in a cubicle in the ER where the lights and noise go on all night.
