Prayers requested for wisdom. I had a short episode yesterday (while I was driving 4th Arrow to her dentist appointment) where I had mild pain (more like pressure) in the center of my chest that seemed to go all the way through and into my back, directly behind the area that was uncomfortable up front. It lasted for no more than maybe ten, fifteen seconds with no other symptoms with it. A short while after that ended, I started to feel some stiffening in my neck, which also lasted only a few seconds and went away. I had no other similar problems the rest of the day and didn’t think about it, but, after mentioning it to my husband this morning, we’re both wondering if it’s anything I should have checked out, being that heart problems in women don’t always manifest with the “classic” symptoms.
Prayer for husband as he had to go to several hours of training today, to learn how to find the right help for our special neediest children. He is in a lot of discomfort in his knee and both hands. He took an extra driver and a twelve year old along.
Please pray for my friend, Jenn, again. She is at a doctor’s appointment (a specialist of some sort) right now. She is in more pain (she said she was screaming in pain the other morning), the area around the tube to her bladder (which doesn’t work anymore) gets infected periodically, & now she has some bad bleeding from somewhere which may be due to a fistula. Her fear is that she may be told she needs surgery to fix it, but after 14 surgeries in her stomach, she was previously told another surgery could kill her. (She barely made it through the last one.)
And please pray for salvation for her husband & grown son & daughter.
Update from Jenn: “Need to be admitted to St. Francis hospital, possible emergency stomach surgery. I give up. Please pray as hard as you can.”
To see Jenn saying she gives up is heartbreaking. She has kept up a positive, faith-filled attitude through all of this. Although she does occasionally get depressed by it, she bounces back to a good attitude fairly quickly.
BTW, she has been losing weight again. She was recently thrilled to have gained a pound or two, & said she was trying to get up to 95 lbs.
Thanks for praying. It’s probably a good time to get a check-up again, since I haven’t been in at all this year. Not that I think yearly check-ups are necessary, but certain changes I think warrant visits more often.
Prayers for Idaho Mike and for Jenn. “…trying to get up to 95 lbs.” Wow.
