  1. 🙂 This is the BD of TSWITW.
🙂 Her baby boy sent her a humongous boquet. She was completely surprised. No one ever sent her flowere before. But I have a picture of him, still in diapers picking a dandelion and handing it to his mother. This was at a trailer park in Texas.

We don’t have anything planned. We’re going out for a Shriner’s fundraiser breakfast. And she’s going to the mall for something special while I watch the ball game.
If it were an anniversary, we could go to Wendy’s.

  2. 🙂 We went to see “Lost Highway” at the Playhouse last night. It was a great show if you like Hank William’s music. It was a top rate production, as are all the Playhouse productions.
Hank was on the scene for only about three years. He was 29 when he died. The whiskey killed him. But like Elvis, he made a lasting mark in his short life. I remember hearing about his death. I was 22 at the time, just discharged from the AF. I need to check to see what happened to Audrey, and his mother.
I don’t much like Hank Jr. and don’t know much about Hank III. Though Kim says she likes him. The show didn’t mention Luke the Drifter. But Hank wrote and sung under that name because his handlers didn’t want him singing that kind of music. He didn’t sing and write to make money, he made money because the singing and writing were in him. There is a difference.

  3. 🙂 Happy Birthday to Elvera, Chas.

🙂 Friends on the team here and in the village to share food with and laugh together.

😦 The high humidity – another serious case yesterday (those who read my letter know what I’m talking about).

  4. Roscuro, I read your letter; sorry for the hard cases, happy about the healthy babies.

🙂 Successfully made a gorgeous photo book of butterflies. (Anyone who has my e-mail address and wants to see it, e-mail me and I’ll send you a link. It loads very quickly, if you happen to have a slow connection, and the pages load easily and quickly.) I even printed two extra copies as gifts for a couple of nieces.

🙂 Somehow the anniversary books turned out absolutely gorgeous.

🙂 Almost two years with a wonderful man.

😦 Wonderful man isn’t feeling well, right before our anniversary.

After a nice break with no work, 🙂 (which was good after a period of 11 projects in a row), 🙂 I now have a nice three projects. One small one finished, one medium one in process, and one big one waiting. It’s a perfect workload, not too busy but a decent amount of income, and if I don’t get anything else in this year (December is iffy), it will still be a decent year of income.

  5. We once had the house Hank Williams Sr. built and lived in very shortly. He didn’t get to enjoy it much, apparently. I am sure we would enjoy that show.

🙂 Fun with six of our grandchildren today.

🙂 Fun seeing my SIL in “Arsenic and Old Lace” at an old mansion in town. Each scene is done in a different part of the estate and by different actors. Experimental theater. We are looking forward to it all. Not so much to the outdoor scenes, which are going to be very cold. They are not real long, though.

😦 My dad has two severe blood infections. So sorry for him and my mom. They take it all as a part of life, though. Prayers appreciated.

🙂 Finished a fun little dolly quilt for my granddaughter, which she will see today. A belated birthday present, since we were not around for her birthday. I loved how it turned out and am much more excited about than she will be at two years of age.

  8. 🙂 Saturday. 😦 Still under the weather. Feeling a little better, though.

🙂 Happy birthday to Elvera, happy birthday to “baby” Kare2012 and happy (early) anniversary to Cheryl. Glad to books turned out so well! Those will be special gifts.

🙂 Cat-sitting for the neighbors for the next 9 days.

🙂 Roscuro’s newsletters from the mission field. Always a good perspective adjustment for me.

😦 I’ll have to miss church tomorrow, I don’t want to spread unnecessary germs and I doubt I’ll be feeling all that well by then anyway. My older companion whom I pick up also said she’ll be staying home, she’s still adjusting to a new medication the doctor put her on this week. So we’ll both be AWOL.

🙂 I get sick very rarely and when I do, it sometimes provides a needed rest from, well, everything.

  9. Happy Birthday to Elvera and Kare’s baby girl! Kare, your daughter is half the age my brother is today — it is his 50th birthday. We’re going to be seeing him tomorrow, but I sent him birthday wishes via email today and told him I might razz him a little tomorrow. 😉 That’s what big sisters have to do with brothers who have no qualms about dishing out plenty of razzing themselves! 😛

  10. 🙂 Lots of birthdays today. Happy birthday Elvera and the brother.

🙂 Neighbour just showed up with his tractor to plough up our garden!

😦 I had to answer the door with my hair all covered in dye!!!!!

😦 We hadn’t managed to get all the compost and coconut moss and leaves onto it yet – oh well.

🙂 He said we could borrow his rototiller one day too! Maybe we’ll do that in spring.

  11. 🙂 Despite the weariness & difficulty of our current living situation, Lee & I are united in love – our love for God, for each other, & for our family. I am very grateful for this, because this is the kind of situation which can greatly strain a marriage.
