“I have felt cats rubbing their faces against mine and touching my cheek with claws carefully sheathed. These things, to me, are expressions of love.”

And yes, I am aware that the Alps don’t extend into Britain. 🙂
Today is Eddie DeGarmo’s birthday.
Today is also Stevie Ray Vaughan’s birthday.

Good Morning Everyone. I am up early again today. I should be reading over the scripts I am supposed to know before a 7:15 conference call with my scripts partner in New Jersey. It is practicel, so that I can have an answer for anything a buyer or seller throws at me.

QOD: What is the worse thing that has ever happened to you? How did you handle it and how has it changed you?
The reason I ask this is I continue to think of our receptionist. The accident happened on a Monday night. I did not know it but there is a scam that goes on where a guy walking on the side of the road pretends to be hit so the driver will stop, then he either robs or rapes them or both. I am not sure what happened but the receptionist had an attorney almost immediately. The delay in turning herself in was due to her attorney and the other driver’s attorney negotiating with the District Attorney on just how it should be handled, so really all the legal wrangling in the background was the delay.
One of the agents in the office sent her a quick note telling her she would pray for her. The response was “Thank you. Please pray for (the victim’s) family, the other driver, and for me”.
I can’t imagine.

Thanks for the update Kim. I was going to ask about that.
And Jo is getting rain. 🙂
At prayer meeting last night, Dr. Pack told about our FMB (Foreign Mission Board) missionaries in Kenya. Seems their son fell into an open fire and was burned. They took him to Nariobi to a doctor. While they were waiting, the wife and daughter decided to go to Westgate mall. As they were going there, about a minute away, the cab driver recieved a phone call.
There was a shooting at the mall.
The boy is ok too.

But I don’t understand the part about the “other driver”, Kim????
I thought she just hit the guy and kept going.

Yes, I am rejoicing over this evening’s rain. Thanks for praying. It was not all going into our tank so I need to check the tank screen tomorrow. It was just raining too hard for me to check earlier and then it was dark.
I was sitting here tonight and suddenly realized that it is Oct. 3rd and I hadn’t remembered to pay my mortgage and insurance bills. Whoops 🙄

For some reason I am having trouble getting onto the blog on my smart phone. Not sure why.
Hooray for the rainfall in Jo’s part of the world. God is good!
Not sure what the worst thing is that has ever happened to me. Maybe I could just say it was all the time I was not a believer, because when I thought of the best thing that has happened it would have to be becoming a true believer in the Lord Jesus.

I am not sure of the details. There was another vehicle involved. She was released on a 30K bond and he on a 5K. It doesn’t make sense to me either, but those are the only sketchy details that have been provided by the media and I haven’t asked a whole lot of questions at work.

I’m really bent out of shape today. I’ve been trying to get a balky software to work with our Automated Fence (a set-point fence system for cutting lumber to exact lengths), and having very little luck. I was led to believe that a PC plugged into the serial port of the Automated Fence would solve my problems…
Alas, after purchasing this PC and monitor, then building a cabinet for it and placing it in the shop, I’m still plagued by permissions and filecopy errors.
I’m so mad I could cheerfully take a hammer to personal possessions of this company’s employees…..Busting a couple windows here and there might mitigate some of my anger if not solve my problem.
I sure would love to trade this thing in on the competitor’s machine. Their website advertises that “networking is a snap”.
Now I wonder why they’d phrase it that way?

Ted Cruz shut down the site.
Has anyone ralized how amazing it is that a freshman senator from Texas can crash the entire nation?

Chas,
Ted wouldn’t do that. But the NSA/DoJ would. 🙂

Morning here. I will be in teacher meetings for 12 hours today. At least they are feeding us! Actually we have a speaker who has come from the US and it sounds like it will be good.
Now I need to get ready and go clean the screen on the water tank so that rain will be able to fill the tank. Now, where is that ladder?

Well, we were doing schoolwork, even though it was a teacher work day. Then we were planting daffodils and then transplanting roses. In between, we were giving people hugs and kisses and words of admonishment.

We are under a Hurricane Watch. When I left home this morning Mr/ P was headed to the store for hurricane supplies. When I got home the kitchen table was covered in bread and peanut butter and jelly –all still in their containers. I opened the fridge. There is water and soda and cheese and lunchmeat, also there are TWO containers of lemon poundcake. That cracks me up. Pound calke? Really? What about canned goods? What about all sorts of other stuff?
I am showing property to a woman who is also a licensed therapist ( what I sometimes do as a realtor is unlicensed therapy) so it never is a quick run out to show property. I told her this afternoon I felt like I needed to write her a check.

Not really surprised, Chas, since a freshman senator from Illinois became President and is doing more to ruin it than Ted Cruz ever will.
