Good morning from a windy, cold place. The sun is finally coming out, however, and lighting up those brilliant aspen trees. The three deer were out early eating on the crabapple tree. We have one lonely grouse that also enjoys those trees. I wonder when more will join her?
Morning! 24 degrees here and I could see my breath when I took the dogs out at 3:30 am!! We are to warm up to the low 50’s.
Heading over to my friend’s home to compose a photo presentation for her Memorial service. Her husband is overwhelmed and is headed south to list their winter home for sale. We’re trying to fill the gaps where we can….💔
We are supposed to be warm today, and then a cold front will hit for tomorrow. Th e weather lady called it weather whiplash. We will probably be an hour north tomorrow so it will be even colder.
Thankful the the extension deadline is over although Art still has hangovers to work on.
I was out sweeping when a delivery guy stopped and brought something that I told him to leave by the door. He did and I kept sweeping. Then it became apparent that he had left my neighbor’s lunch at my door because she was out at the end of her driveway waiting for it. I had been expecting a Sam’s delivery of canned English peas, garbanzos, and some underwear. Just another funny incident because I could not see well enough to tell he had brought a cup holder with drinks, too. I hollered over to my neighbor that I was sorry I had gotten her lunch.
Janice that’s funny…oh the confused expression your neighbor must have shown upon realizing their lunch had been kidnapped!!
It was a surreal morning looking through my friend’s photos. She was my first friend when we moved here in 1986. We worked at the Pregnancy Center together and shared forty years of doing life! Some of those photos though… we were so young!!!
Oh, NJ, the joy and sorrow mix you are going through! We could hardly find any photos of my brother so we only had about three big Olin Mill type portraits at different ages set up by the casket with flower/plant arrangements aground them. I knew that was not the modern way, but we truly had no choice. It did relieve us of one additional thing to do.
I am glad you got to do a sweeping historical romp through your years together. So meaningful.
We got one of the t-shirts back that I had taken for Bro to wear at rehab. Art wears it again and probably does not give it a thought. I had to launder it while Bro was in rehab. It tugs at my heart to put it through the wash now.
Heaters. We had someone come and check ours and he found the electronic panel was bad. We think it was from the lightning strike last summer that took out our stove and some other items. Hopefully we can get it fixed before it really gets cold.
breakfast at dinnertime anyone? I didn’t go to bed until 3AM so just kept waking up and going back to sleep. That was a lot of travel. and the airplane meals were the worst that I have ever had. But the staff was friendly and kind. So nice to be home.

My husband should be home by the time I return!

We’re supposed to go down in the low 30s the next few nights, but back to the high 60s next week.
So no need to overreact and put the heat on yet.
