  1. Good morning.

Yesterday we took a long drive to enjoy the fall leaves and a distant restaurant. It was refreshing.

I was sorry to hear your news, NJ. It is sad the way you found out. Life can be so sad for us. I am glad we have an eternity of real joy to look forward to when we know the Lord.

  2. Amen, Kathaleena! Eternally grateful for that.

Our weather is predicted to tie record highs this week. In past years we’ve had leaf color changes by now. Green, green, green from all the rain. Of course, some leaves have been falling and are yellowing on the ground.

    Early voting starts tomorrow.

  3. Something I did not expect to see, and I guess you might not since I am unable to Paste a link in this new WP comment box. It is a Baptist Press article on the State of the Bible report, maybe from the American Bible Society, that says 50% of Americans don’t think they have ever had an answered prayer.

  4. That is interesting, Janice. Most Christians have, though. Sad about those Christian consulting psychics or Tarot cards. There could be better preaching about the hazards of that, I believe.

  5. Morning! It is a windy blustery start to the week around here! Fallen pine needles everywhere…they shed profusely this time of year and that wind is knocking them down!

Husband and friend took off early this morning heading to CA to climb Mt Whitney…I had “cookie duty” and made for them lots of chocolate chip and ginger cookies to munch on while trekking that mountain! The weather doesn’t look promising for the summit but I am praying for their safety and enjoyment…

It is interesting how many professing believers do not believe they have had answered prayer…perhaps due to the outcome not to their liking? I have a T-shirt that says “even if”…the scripture from Daniel 3:18 should be rooted deep within us…no matter the outcome…in Him lies my faith, trust and worship….
