We will get flu shots. Otherwise, I don’t do anything special. I like to have homemade chicken soup base ready to make if one of us is not feeling well.
What all do you put into your soup base, Kathaleena? That is where the healing qualities are. And do you use bone broth or plain broth? I just use plain broth for my chicken soup. I have found recently that parsley is very high in nutrients so I have begun using fresh chopped Italian parsley in my soup. It has vitamin K so I take vitamin D with that for better absorption.
Whenever they change the technology that we thought was working just fine, I think of a scene from the first Star Trek movie. After being called out of retirement back into service aboard the newly-revamped Enterprise, Dr. McCoy says, “I’d better go see what they’ve done to Sick Bay. I know engineers, they love to change things.”
Thanks, AJ. It WAS our anniversary and we returned to our honeymoon hotel.
A lot of fun and full of reminiscence. We’ve been traveling so much of late that my husband said, “I don’t think we’ve had time to have this much conversation in a month.”
Probably so.
We made up for it, reminisced about the many wonderful events of our lives, saw redwood trees (other than the two across the street from our house!), Mendocino, the ocean, and stopped at an apple grove to buy cider where one of our boy scouts grew up.
It was lovely to just be the two of us for 24 hours!
Good morning, Wanderers!
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday. May Peter and fam have a great retreat.
It’s overcast and cool here. The market was busy with people stocking up for the anticipated storms.
Do you have special things you use to build up immunity during cold and flu season?

Morning! Well Word seems to have implemented a different sign in posting format….everyone has to fix things that weren’t broken!
Warm again but so lovely in this forest. Praying for those in the path of the incoming storms.
When the first hint of being stalked by illness I take elderberry with zinc. It works for me.

I liked to drink Kroger Simple Truth elderberry tea daily but can no longer find it.
