Morning! Warmer here today in the 70’s. Blue sky and sunshine. Lots of leaf peepers heading to the mountains…not me! Are the leaves changing colors back east?
No changing colors here. But some leaves are falling.
Sam’s Club is dribbling out my order. First thing this morning I received a box with 3 bottles of my olive oil. Then later I had a package with the black pepper grinder. Now I have the third delivery with toilet paper and dishwasher liquid. So odd to not get them all together since they were all on the same order.
~ “This is how slow this Nor’easter is. When I posted this morning I said the storm was East of the Maryland coast. Now it is East of Southern New Jersey coast. So in the past 8 hours it has move some 55 miles to the North give or take, we sure have a ways to go with this Nor’easter…” ~
The worst of it is still to come for us here in northern Connecticut. Even so, there are already close to 30,000 in the state without power. Mine is still on, for which I am grateful, although I am ready in case it does go out later.
We have some absolutely stunning maples right now. The leaves are changing color all in their own time. Some are stunning and some just a muted gold. The variety of trees etc. just amazes me. It is always surprising how much those leaves brighten up the area around them.
We had a memorial service yesterday and then an unexpected performance for my husband’s music group. The band that was supposed to perform at a small town hall had a member break his arm, leaving him unable to play his guitar. The organizers of the program were quite relieved since they had advertised and had signs all over about the show. There was dancing, including line dancing.
Surprisingly, I was also invited to a bible study which will be held quite close to me. I don’t know if that will work out for me or that I will go, but it was nice to have the invitation and to know those are going on again near me.

We’re getting the outer edge of a noreaster heading up the east coast. Coastal NY and NJ are getting hammered. Flooding everywhere.

Prayers for those in the line of that. Praying you keep power, Kizzie.

Yes, keeping you in prayer, also.

Rain. What a strange concept. I’m not sure what that is. So long since we’ve seen rain

71 degrees here and a tad bit cloudy. Rains are forecasted to move in tomorrow and hang around for a couple days!
Husband is an hour away from arriving home. He had a great visit with his family and our son…I’m ready for him to be home!

Still feeling a little less like summer, but that will probably change this upcoming week.

The rain is wrapping up for us, finally. We were lucky, some places got hammered.
This is something you don’t see everyday.
Honey! There’s a shark in the driveway!
