Good morning to all of you. We will have rain today, which we can use. The maple trees are turning into beautiful reds, oranges and yellows. There is so much beauty in fall.
Cool cloudy and misty rain around these parts! I had to run into town to return my sunglasses. They tinted them dark gray which caused everything to appear blue when I put them on. That hurt my eyes! So amber brown tint will be put on new lenses and it will take another two weeks…good things it’s cloudy around here!
We don’t have leaves but we have an abundance of pine needles! They don’t blow around like autumn leaves and don’t show off glorious colors…but they are green year round!
That was a nice article Janice. It gives me pause however knowing we are not leaving such a “legacy” to a couple of our children and their children. To them we are despised even though we believed we loved them well…such is the confusing world in which we find ourselves.
Husband’s car should be fixed in a month’s time. The cost estimate is all over the charts…anywhere from 9500.00 to 2000.00…how can that be?! Husband says not to worry about it…which I’m not but oh how confusing are these numbers!!
I enjoyed the article also, Janice. I wonder how often we get right what our legacy will actually be. It is kind of like taking a vacation with your children or grandchildren. Your idea of what was a highlight is often not at all what they think was a highlight.
I’m at an age when I do reflect and question past decisions. Hindsight is twenty-twenty. I hope your children gain some better understanding as they age and go through their own experiences, NJ.
My SIL would agree with AJ about the leaf blower. He was rather amazed when he wanted to use one here and we said we don’t own one. I am rather looking forward to some lovely fall days to rake. I should get a leaf blower, however, to blow the pine needles and leaves that fall on our deck and the sidewalk.

We actually went down to 47 last night. Feels great, and don’t need the heat yet.
I saw a bunch of newly fallen leaves in my yard this morning, which is weird, since I have no trees.
I blow them back to whence they came, the neighbor with the trees yard.

I think you nailed it, Kathaleena, l9l
it is really cooler here this morning and will cool down even more before going back to the 80’s next week.

Battery powered leaf blowers are one of man’s greatest inventions.

It would make your life easier, Kathleena.
Plus you still get to go out and enjoy the outdoors and cooler weather, you just have a much easier time moving all those leaves.

I think leaf blowers are noise pollution.

Rakes are quiet and good exercise, but very slow 8n comparison.
