I miss the small group bible studies, also. We have one at church, but I have some factors that make it impossible for me to do right now.
I hear a lot of complaints about speeding these days. Everyone seems to be in a rush. I am grateful for the turning lane put in on a highway near us. The semitrucks used to make turning left a nightmare.
The cabin owner left a whole lot of old furniture, tools and other items for my daughter and SIL. Some a treasure and some are things to be disposed of. She found a sewing chair and stool in the shed. Her MIL has dealt quite a bit (even having a couple of shops) with antiques, so she was a help in identifying those. There is a small table that her MIL will paint a checkerboard on. It is great that there are people who still love these older objects.
What a big job that must be, Janice. I hope you don’t have to rush too much. I am also praying Art’s health is restored. We did not have to rush on my parents except my sister insisted. It was a big mistake, IMO. That is past, but I just want to share that, so that if you can take your time, you will think about doing that.
The weather is pleasant at 76°. Thunderstorms predicted for later.
We are arranging so as to not rush on anything. We are not able to rush, but we have creeping down pat.
I finally remembered what my brother probably held against me and my family. When son was young and Art and I did a will, I chose a mom and dad we knew through Scouts as guardian over son in case anything happened to us. I did not choose my bachelor brother. I think that enraged him.
isn’t it sad that people hang onto grudges long past their expiration date?
It was 46 this morning and the ground was freshly wet…and here I thought I was dreaming when I heard thunder in the middle of the night! Yay rain!
I have been cleaning and rearranging this place…my niece just might get another box of antiques soon! But for what I paid to have the boxes shipped to her I could travel to her house and drop them off!
I love that the old cabin had treasures within to be discovered Kathaleena!…and every cabin needs a checkerboard table!
Janice thanks for that link. I am always interested in how other churches view “worship” leading. Sometimes it seems to me that it is a marketed employment instead of a calling of the Lord.
Our lovely young friend who played at a local cafe recently has a calling to lead others in worship. And her mentor who played that night as well is gifted in leading worship at a large church downtown Springs. It is evident. I have known others the Lord has called…and I have known some who just seem to want to give a concert. I love my quiet times at home listening to worship music

I recently found out in our vicinity how difficult it is to get good worship leaders as both churches I am associated with were in need.
