Good morning. I am sorry for those who are enduring such heat right now. It is more like autumn here. That is a time I always wonder how I will get everything on my list done. Having seasons give a slight schedule to follow.
Zoey is the skittish of the two kitties. Once you get her comfy and settled, she’s a sweetie. Loves chin scritches.
But until then, it could be scratchy/bleedy kitty, depending on her mood. All claws and teeth, but playfully, not mean. But man, kitten claws are sharp.
Cleo goes straight to purring and rubbing as soon as you make eye contact or touch her.
That header grabbed my heart causing immediate thought of Miss Bosley. We knew jaws and claws quite well. I love Cleo’s purrs generated by eye contact. That is awesome.
Yesterday was another trip to work In the other house. I cleared clothes from my mother’s closet to give to Goodwill. I found a lively evening gown she’d made for me fifty years or so ago. She died over twenty years ago. Bro never got rid of things.
Pastor did a good job bringing Jesus into Genesis 34 in explaining how what Joseph went through was a foreshadowing of Jesu and his suffering and innocence. Thankful for that today.
We started Mark this morning, after finishing 2 Samuel last week.
Our Life Groups started back up, small groups meeting throughout the week to do a deeper dive into what was covered in the sermon from the previous Sunday. Homework and questions for discussion. Good stuff.
It was 46 degrees here this morning and some mountain towns saw their first frost! Yay! I have been rearranging and cleaning the long forgotten corners of the house and property. A fox marked a few areas outside last night.Smells like skunk! He’s jealous that Sweetie is our favorite!😂 we think it’s her brother…we call him High tail because his tail sticks straight up!!
Oh what treasures you are discovering Janice! Even through the laborious tasks a smile is found…
Aj that sounds like a great study. I do so miss small groups…
NJ, you and your husband are great examples of physically fit seniors. I am amazed at all you get done. It took all my energy to drag those Goodwill bags to the car yesterday. I was thinking earlier how grateful I am that I have good use of my hands for chopping veggies for my soup. Arthritis takes a toll on many seniors so they can’t use their hands as they did when younger
I drove north almost to Canada and saw some beautiful country
on the way back a large truck full of construction supplies was behind me. I was going 60, the speed limit twice he got very close behind me scary close. No where for me to go
then he started honking his horn at me. Over and over. The only thing I could have done was speed up but that would have made the situation worse. Finally he turned off. I was quite shook up

AJ, your church sounds like it has things working to make disciples who make disciples. Well done!

Too many drivers think doing the speed limit is too slow.
