Good morning. We expect storms today. No cooperation from the weather with World Cup events.
I hope everyone has a beautiful day in which to rejoice and give thanks to the Lord. He is ever so good and faithful in the best times and the less than best times.
I haven’t tried to do that yet today, Janice. It does have that issue from time to time, however.
We will have the youngest two grands coming with our daughter today and staying the weekend. Rain is expected every day, so we will play it by ear as to what we will do. The plan was to go to the headwaters of the Mississippi where you can walk across. It is a busy weekend for several festivals, and many will be disappointed with the rain. Such little control we actually have.
We can’t walk across the Mississippi here, it’s almost about a half to three fourths mile across. But in a very cold winter it freezes over and you can see dear tracks. I, however, would not attempt to walk it. Once, when D3 was around 11 or 12, I let her go about 6 feet out onto the ice so she can say she walked on the river.
Now, because of all the rain up North, the river is nearing flood stage, if not a little over.
,Morning! It cooled off this morning albeit with howling winds! Yesterday was rather toasty but not unbearable….no rain in sight around her sadly…
Last night our old stomping grounds received tornados and wild weather. I need to call my Mom to see if she even noticed. Our family in the Florence KY area are seeing downed trees and damage but not as some of the rumors were reporting it to be. Thankful they were all safe from harms way.
