  12. The UFC and Pride celebrations at the White House don’t have much in common except half naked participants. For me the UFC and the motorcycle stunt pre-show had an Idiocracy feel to it. However, for many Americans, the real grievance of the UFC was the corruption. The UFC parent company is TKO of which Trump Inc has a large share in plus the fighters were paid in cyrpto currency issued by a Trump finance company. The whole affair was a $60 million dollar event put on for profit. All quite different than a pride event.

  13. The UK “inquiry” was an unofficial hearing put on by several opposition MPs and assorted other social political “leaders”. An actual parliamentary inquiry took place over a decade ago instigated by a Labour gov’t. When its report and recommendations were finally issued, the then current Conservative gov’t shelved the report and ignored the recommendations. Giving Starmer some limited credit, he actually tried to implement some of the recommendations but there is a lot of push back from governing elites in both major parties. The current “inquiry” was launched by right wing populists for political purposes. By this time, the girls (now women) are willing to try any avenue to gain some justice and respect. However, the men involved in this so called inquiry are mere grifters in it for political gain.

    In many ways, the UK issues resemble the problems women in the US have in gaining justice from the Epstein files. Despite only releasing half the files, the DOJ refuses to discuss the issue and the women are left hoping someone will pay attention. And in the US, its obvious the elites in both parties would love to see the end of the files.
