  1. The virus originated from Wuhan’s lab, but even more concerning is the astounding government overreactions from around the world.

With all the worldwide lockdowns, one might think that the end of the world. was imminent.
However, when you assess this virus objectively, it is somewhat more virulent than a bad flu. Why would governments around the world react so irrationally? This is the key question that requires further investigation…

“A group of international researchers are pushing for a “proper investigation” into the origins of COVID-19, including examining the lab accident theory that a World Health Organization (WHO) probe previously dismissed.

The WHO-led mission in Wuhan, which released its findings in late March, did not give “balanced consideration” to the theory that the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus came from a laboratory accident, rather giving more weight to the natural spillover hypothesis—the event that the virus spread to humans through an animal host, the scientists argued in a letter published May 14 in Science, a peer-reviewed academic journal.

The letter was signed by 18 medical experts who specialize in virology, biology, immunology, and epidemiology.

The WHO team assessed the animal origin theory as “likely to very likely” and the other as “extremely unlikely,” despite having “no findings in clear support of either,” they wrote, noting that of 313 pages total, the report only dedicated four pages to addressing a possible lab accident.

“We must take hypotheses about both natural and laboratory spillovers seriously until we have sufficient data,” the authors said. “A proper investigation should be transparent, objective, data-driven … and responsibly managed to minimize the impact of conflicts of interest.””

  2. A “bad flu”? I think not. But your mileage will vary as someone used to say. Covid views and opinions are driven largely by one’s politics in this climate. And so it goes. We will agree to disagree, wear masks or not, get vaccinated or not, and live our lives. Life will go on, everyone has an acceptable risk level that they’re willing to live by, and that’s fine.

  3. The press can’t complain. After all they did put their offices in the same building with the office of the terrorists.

    Pick better friends.

“Earlier today the Israeli Defense Forces took out a building in Gaza that housed a Hamas intelligence office. The building was shared with the Associated Press and Hamas propaganda outlet Al Jazeera. IDF warned of the strike ahead of time, giving journalists ample time to safely evacuate.

“An Israeli airstrike on Saturday targeted and destroyed a high-rise building in Gaza City that housed offices of The Associated Press and other media outlets. Hours later, Israel bombed the home of Khalil al-Hayeh, a top leader of Gaza’s ruling militant Hamas group,” the AP reported. “The Israeli military said Al-Hayeh’s home served as part of what it said was the militant group’s “terrorist infrastructure.” Al-Hayeh is a senior figure in the Hamas political leadership in Gaza, and the attack marked a further escalation, signaling that Israel is going after Hamas’ top leadership, and not just military commanders. His fate after the strike was not immediately known.”

“Earlier, AP staffers and other tenants safely evacuated the building after the military telephoned a warning that the strike was imminent within an hour. Three heavy missiles struck the 12-story building, collapsing it in a giant cloud of dust,” the report continues.

The Associated Press is blasting the Israeli military for the strike, but hasn’t condemned Hamas for putting them in harms way and conducting military operations within a commercial building. The White House has done the same.”

The coverage of the incident has been wildly dishonest and severely lacking context, prompting pushback. ”

  4. As usual the press plays the role of useful idiots…..

    For the terrorists.

  5. Good question….

Once again, the press distorts and misreports. And it’s intentional.

  6. Just a reminder from French……

  7. I guess the scientists are all crazy conspiracy theorists now too, along with most world govts.

    Welcome to the party.

“Scientists Demand Investigation of Wuhan Lab-Leak Origin of Coronavirus

“A proper investigation should be transparent, objective, data-driven, inclusive of broad expertise, subject to independent oversight, and responsibly managed to minimize the impact of conflicts of interest.”

“Legal Insurrection readers will note that since February, 2020 we have been covering reports regarding a leak from a laboratory in Wuhan, China being the origin of the coronavirus at the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, veteran science writer Nicholas Wade recently published a detailed review of the pandemic, and made a persuasive case that a leak from a laboratory at the city’s Institute of Virology must be seriously considered as the original source of the contagion.

Now a group of 18 scientists have published in the journal Science argue that there is not yet enough evidence to rule out the possibility that the virus (i.e., SARS-CoV-2) escaped a lab in China, and they demand a “proper investigation” into the theory.”

  8. “Canadian Pastor Dragged Off by SWAT Team Out on Bail Has a Warning for Americans”

“Earlier this month, Pastor Artur Pawlowski, the pastor in Canada was arrested on a busy highway and dragged off by a SWAT team along with his brother. The pastor had been targeted for months because he dared to open up his church and not turn anyone away. A judge granted a warrant for police to arrest him doing “anything necessary.” Now, the pastor and his brother are out on bail.”

The pastor spoke with Newsmax highlighting how the Calgary Police have been incessantly targeting him, though he doesn’t seem ready to relent any time soon. While speaking with Rob Schmitt, he likened what he has gone through to the plight of Hong Kong protesters.

“I just woke up in Hong Kong a few days ago. I mean, I thought I emigrated to our beloved Canada, but I am in Hong Kong, full force,” he said.”

“All across China, Christians have been targeted and arrested for their faith. During the pandemic, the Chinese Communist Party has had the excuse of enforcing covid regulations, though the crackdown against Christians has been going on for years.

Pawlowski also appeared on “The Ingraham Angle,” where he confirmed he had spent 30 hours in solidarity confinement following his arrest, in addition to being mistreated in other ways by the police. He also emphasized they “have no rights whatsoever.” The pastor shared how he had escaped from Poland, for Canada, where he thought he’d have more freedom:

I escaped tyranny and communism. I came to Canada because they offered me freedom. Here we are again. A repetition of history. I will fight to the death. That’s what I said to the officer. You are not going to intimidate me. You can shoot me dead but I will fight until the day I day. I have three children. If you don’t do it for yourself, some decency and do it for your children. What kind of country will we leave behind for future generations? How do we say to sons and daughters we allowed this to happen. We didn’t care about your future.

He closed with another warning for the United States, as he and others are becoming “political prisoners” in Canada. “My message to you is watch what’s happening here,” he said about where he is and what he’s up against, “because it’s coming your way unless you rise up and stand up and fight.” “

  9. It is government leaders and the media who have made Covid a political issue, and this virus should not be made political. I seek to have my views informed by facts and the truth of things, not by media propaganda and fear-mongering.

    O ● oppress
    V ● victimize
    I ● isolate

It’s important to ask questions, and do the research. I’ve posted a lot of information from various doctors and scientists – this time I will simply post a video from a Brit who has done the research and asked key questions. (This is in the context of the UK, but most of it can be applied to the US as well.) I would recommend starting at the 14:15 mark (but especially from 30:48 when he gives a prediction of what is coming next fall). The people have to say, “Enough”!

  10. When the heart starts beating, a baby is alive. Thank you, Texas!

“Texas Gov. Greg Abbot is expected to sign into law a bill that bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected, which can occur as early as six weeks into a pregnancy.

Texas Senate Bill 8, also known as the Texas Heartbeat Act or “heartbeat bill” was passed in the state Senate 18-12 on Thursday, and awaits Abbott’s signature. The Republican governor has indicated that he will sign the bill on the same day.

“The Texas Legislature PASSES the heartbeat bill,” Abbot wrote on Twitter. “It’s now on its way to my desk for signing.”

State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr., one of two Democrats who voted in support of the bill, told The Dallas Morning News: “I hope that we can continue to do our best to make sure that those soon to be born babies have an opportunity to be born and live in our world.””

  11. Everybody’s made the virus political. I suppose if we want to go back to the childhood argument of “who started it,” we can. But as our parents told us, it doesn’t matter who “started” it. Everyone now has their own “political” take on what is a medical and public health issue.

  12. No, not everyone has made the virus political. And yes, it does matter “who started it,” because those folks have a very specific narrative, a clear agenda, and it’s not pretty.

  13. Right on queue, the far-left agenda strikes again…

It is actually illegal to mandate employees to take an experimental vaccine, especially since it hasn’t even been approved by the FDA. Utterly insane, especially since you can still contract and spread the virus.

Hopefully, many class action suits will follow, and Delta will go under…

“Delta Air Lines is requiring all new employees get vaccinated against the virus that causes COVID-19, one of the first U.S. companies to mandate the shots.”

  14. I’ve said in the past that rest of the developed world can’t figure out American elections — gerrymandering, voter purge, voter registration, barring felons for life, long line ups, etc. Its just weird to the rest of us;

  15. The Calgary pastor has fully embraced the cult of victim hood. Comparing himself to Hong Kong protesters is a bit much; they might disappear into the Chinese gulag and /or be tortured whereas he is treated with kid gloves, fined and released. As some of said here about black men getting shot; all he has to do is comply and he wouldn’t be a victim.

From what I understood churches can have about 25% capacity — all he has to do is broadcast live and allow 25% of the congregation to attend or he can offer 4 services a week. There’s no religious persecution here — just public health measures. Ramadan just finished and the nieighbourhood mosque had a very subdued Eid drive through celebration and drive through pot luck — normally they have a huge outdoor potluck in the parking lot. Usually the mosque would be open and filled everyday at sunset when they broke their fast; now even Fridays are 25% or so capacity. If the Muslims can curtail Eid celebrations, the pastor can curtail ordinary Sunday services.

  16. Ritualized violence is expectant violence due to celebrations — sports wins, Halloween, St Patricks Day, “marching season” in northern Ireland, etc. The most common characteristic is unsupervised young men at night. Ramadan in Palestine has the same issue — almost every year, young men and police will square off in some form of ritualized violence. Older Palestinians will break their fast, eat, then go to bed because they have work or family. Young unemployed men will sleep all day, break fast with the family and then when families go to bed, they will congregate outside — and not surprising when you have large crows of 20-25 year old men, violence occurs.

Normally, police will bend and manage the violence. Israel rarely does and so the ritualized violence is more intense there, however, this year the usual Ramadan violence has been turned up a notched and the Israeli reaction seems to be over the top and even pre planned. Given the newly minted peace with Saudi Arabia, UAE etc, Israel is acting with a little more impunity than previous.

Donna can correct me but usually AP, Reuters and other wire services will use locals for news gathering and office management. Hence, you can’t blame AP itself for renting office space in the same location Hamas has office space. Moreover, most European countries draw a distinction between Hamas the political party and Hamas the militant/terrorist group. I also find it interesting that the media sources in the tweet disregard AP/Reurters but uncritically accept the IDF’s word for it.

  17. I’m not sure how a capitalist corporation mandating a job requirement qualifies as far left. Sounds like typical capitalism to me. If they can mandate drug testing they can mandate vaccines.

The heart isn’t fully developed until 9 weeks — the “heart beat” prior to this is more of an electrical pulse than a heart beat. The pro life group has won the moral argument but their continued legal assault may impinge on that victory. Abortion rates continue to fall each year (better sex ed, birth control, pro life opinions, or all) and to push the issue only gives some credence to the pro choice argument of bodily autonomy (ie this is about controlling women not saving lives) In this case, what constitutes a heart beat is up for debate, there’s no real agreement upon when this occurs. Over 90% of all abortions occur within 13 weeks and 40% are non-surgical abortions occurring under the 9th week. Pro life needs to maintain the moral argument not the legal control — which they will lose.
