Our son helped at VBS when that age. It is a great opportunity to pour into others what got poured into the..
We spent all day at rehab trying to get an issue with antibiotics straight. Not clear on all details but it appears hospital may have failed to relay important details to the facility.
It seemed almost a dream to inquire about a podiatrist to trim toenails and one appeared in about an hour. We’d been trying to get that for months.
Art has missed so much work. Son has canceled on a job grading AP compositions for a week that he does during the summer. How many people does it take to manage care for a person caught up in the flawed medical system? Three is not enough, obviously.
Janice – Sadly, most nursing homes and rehabs are woefully understaffed and underfunded. They are often owned by corporations whose only concern is the bottom line. An article I started to read earlier today was about one particular company that purposely short-staffed their nursing homes.
Many nurses and CNAs deeply care about the residents, but just do not have the time to give them all of the care they need. And sadly, there are some who are merely there to do a job for a paycheck, and may not put in the care that they could if they tried.
Kizzie, you are in the know of tge truth of it. The full range of personalities and motives are met in such places.
It is interesting to see priorities at the various homes. This one has a sheet of paper posted reading Rest Room on the door to that. No signage. But in the patio area they have very nice flower boxes tor the residents to enjoy. It is in the details and what is chosen over other things to spend on.
I had coffee with two sweet friends this morning then came home to relax! We caught ourselves trading stories of ailments this morning realizing yep we’re at that age!!😂 ya gotta laugh sometimes!
