Hello Wanderers! I don’t get here as often as before, sorry. I have a favor to ask, especially of those involved in writing fiction. I wrote a short novel (novelette?) and want feedback. I can send a pdf or a epub file.
The plot involves a man who’s thinking of leaving his wife, but when he decides to make things right and stay with her, he has an accident and gets amnesia. I know, amnesia doesn’t happen as often in real life as in fiction.
Anyone want to be my “advanced readers”? Mrs. L already went through it with her fine tooth comb, so I think I’ve made the corrections.
If you want to participate, AJ has my email address, and I give him permission to give it to those who ask.
If able, I would love to help, Peter. Glad to hear you are at that point in the process.
We had a wakeful night. Bro had some suffering that seems to have resolved for the moment. I prayed through the storm and played Psalms on Audible. Thankful for that relevant resource.
Art frequently brings me food after work. On his way home last night, a dog ran out in front of his car and he hit it. The owner was really mad. If the dog was off leash, that is against our county law. If on leash, it still seems it would be the owner’s fault for not pulling the dog out of the way of the car. Am I thinking rightly about this?
Morning! 5 inches of moisture with a couple of those melting in on impact. Lots of shush around here… truly thankful!
Peter we have some wonderful writers hereJanice, M and Cheryl! Good resources. Looking forward to it’s publishing!
How sad Janice about Art and the dog. Unleashed is definitely a no no in town. Even if owner had it leashed they should have the dog on a tight leash when around people or cars. I have had situations where the owner had the leash fully extended to about 10 ft … owner on one side of the road dog on the other. They are supposed to have the dog in their control at all times. 🥲🙏
Our poodle flies like that 4th dog – both in length and also up high. Never uses the stairs on the deck, just jumps and flies up, then slides across the deck before stopping – it’s hilarious.
We also have a new to us dog. I’ve missed the ‘safety’ of having a large dog on the acreage, so we were lucky to find a Great Pyrenees/Irish Wolfhound cross that is the gentlest giant ever. He’s already three so we’ll probably only have him with us for 3 – 4 years, but he needed a home and we needed him.
Good morning. Cold with some snowflakes currently. Ready for some warmer weather before the real heat comes.

The man called Art this morning and apologized and said he knew it was his fault. The dog is okay. PTL!
