  1. Dems and their fellow NGO fraudsters will be Big Mad now.

And yes, this is what I voted for.

    😁

“Major Trump-Vance policy shift just dropped:

Foreign aid will now go straight to national governments — no more routing billions through NGOs.

This cuts out the middlemen who’ve turned taxpayer dollars into their own bloated business model.

Effect on NGOs: Many will see their funding evaporate overnight. Expect mass layoffs, shrinking budgets, and some outfits shutting down entirely.

The entire aid-industrial complex just took a body blow — no more endless grift.

America First is finally hitting the middlemen where it hurts.”

“Canada told this man’s wife to kill herself with MAID because they had “no treatment” for her stage 4 ovarian cancer.

They lied about HIPEC surgery. Lost her chemo requisition. Her oncologist never even met her in person. ERs sent her home with opioids while her lungs filled with fluid.

So they evacuated her by ferry from Vancouver Island to Seattle.

America got her into the system immediately. Started chemo. Gave her the surgery Canada said wouldn’t work.

Every time she went back to Canada, she nearly died again, going septic in Canadian hospitals until her husband literally unplugged her from machines and evacuated her back to the US.

They finally got him a green card in under three months with the help of a Congresswoman. Now they’re in Texas.

His wife is heading into her THIRD remission. She squatted 175 lbs for five reps last week.

Canada’s answer was death. America’s answer was treatment.

    That’s the difference. 🇺🇸”

“Has anybody thought through the possibility that @realDonaldTrump understood that drawing attention to what the Pope and his liberal cardinals were saying and doing about foreign policy and illegal aliens was going to make Catholics realize just how much their church leaders were interfering in politics in favor of leftist agenda items?

The whole billions in funding designed to import illegals thing is not going to be popular, but until now, how many people really understood it? And now that I understand it, it’s entirely possible they’ll be more irritated with the Church for doing those things than with Trump for pointing out that the church is doing those things.

And do you think Catholics aren’t going to see the hypocrisy of abortion fanatics suddenly getting down on their knees and genuflecting?

I don’t know for sure. I’m a protestant. We have dumb guitars in church. It’s a Catholic thing. But I’m betting that a lot of Catholics don’t like what a Church liberal hierarchy is using their clerical positions to push.”

The Pope knows which political party paid them billions to help import millions of illegal criminals, and thats the party he sides with.

Abortion, degeneracy, deviancey, perversion of every kind, and all the other baggage Dems bring doesn’t bother this fraud at all, as long as they send the cash.

“Yet they came into this negotiation absolutely refusing to give up their nuclear weapon ambitions which was the bottom line for the President and his negotiators.”

“Catholic Charities self identified as “the largest refugee resettlement agency in the world,” resettling approximately 18% of refugees arriving in the US each year.

The Catholic Church has emerged as one of the largest government contractors of immigration services.

From 2013 to 2022, Catholic Relief Services was the single largest recipient of funds from the USAID, receiving a collective $4.6 billion in that timeframe.

Federal funding covered more than 95% of what the USCCB spent on refugee and migrant programs in recent years. In 2012, 93% of the USCCB’s spending on refugee and unaccompanied child work was covered by American taxpayers the conference raised only $1.4 million from its own church members while receiving $65.9 million from the federal government.”

  10. It is interesting how we hear the cry of ‘separation of church and state’ when evangelicals (however that is defined) speak or act, but we don’t when the Pope speaks. Then our leaders should all listen. I do believe he should be treated respectfully because of his office, just as others in office ought to be.

Our president should take heed of Proverbs which tells us to listen more and speak less. It tells us sin comes with a multitude of words and lots of other things about our speech. Not to mention all the other books of the Bible. Verses about pride also come to mind.

It would surely be good if the government did not swing from one extreme to the other. It is sad that legitimate charities or agencies are punished for the illegal and immoral acts of others. Not to mention the innocent people who will suffer for it. It seems to be the norm for this world, however. One day that will be taken care of for good.

    https://x.com/i/status/2043771861931078087

“The USA-Indonesia strategic partnership isn’t just important — it’s becoming indispensable for global stability.

Because Indonesia controls (or co-controls with close allies) the three critical maritime checkpoints that keep the world’s trade arteries open:

    1. Strait of Malacca — jointly secured with aligned Malaysia & Singapore

    2. Sunda Strait — fully under Indonesian sovereignty

    3. Lombok Strait — fully under Indonesian sovereignty

These aren’t just shipping lanes. They’re the lifelines for energy flows from the Middle East to East Asia, for global supply chains, and for freedom of navigation in the Indo-Pacific. Over 40% of world trade and a huge share of global oil pass through these waters every single day.

When Indonesia and the United States deepen defense, economic, and security cooperation, this is not just strengthening two nations — they are anchoring the most vital chokepoints on Earth alongside trusted partners like Malaysia and Singapore.

This partnership protects open sea lanes, deters disruption, and ensures the rules-based order in one of the world’s most strategic regions.

    Safer seas. Shared prosperity.”

“Within 10 to 14 days, Iran won’t be able to store oil and will have permanent long term damage to oil wells for extracting oil. Oil wells perform poorly after you stop the flowing process.

Iran exports oil, but it also imports gasoline and diesel. Iran lacks the ability to refine enough of their own oil into gasoline and diesel. So very soon Iran will be running out of fuel everywhere.”

  17. Wow — that’s a lot unloaded against the pope. I’m obviously not a Catholic but I do think the papacy is due some respect if not just to respect the billion or more people who are Catholic

The Catholic church is consistent in its pro-life messaging. Its both against abortion and capital punishment.

In-between it advocates social spending to improve the lives of people regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, etc. And thus it receives a lot of gov’t assistance as it has probably the best world wide infrastructure for aid. Church groups and NGOs despite occasional issues are far better than central gov’ts that in many cases are corrupt and money just gets rerouted to the Cayman Islands (and thus aid becomes mere bribes to dictators)

It has a just war theory that consistently evaluates wars — and will call out leaders for violations. It may be Iran citing the pope, but the pope isn’t wrong; war crimes have been committed by Israel and the US. Double tapping a girl’s school is a war crime.

The above is why I respect Catholic messaging in the political arena — it’s consistent and adheres to its theology. They are not swayed by nationalism nor various political leaders and their ideology.

The Catholic church has made countless errors in the political arena — its tolerance of clerical fascism in WW2 is probably the worst in the modern era. And its social justice polices used to be tainted by national, class and ethnic stereotypes as seen in residential schools and the Magdalene Irish homes. But they’ve refined their message and have consistently advocated decency for all people.

  18. Anecdotal reports on health care don’t condemn or laud a heath care system. I don’t doubt that if you have enough money you can probably find better health care in the US in some cases, especially stage 5 cancer (the US has survival rates that almost match the Nordic countries — which are the best) . And thus occasionally you hear stories like the one above where cancer treatment was better in the US.

However, to judge the system you need to look at how it serves everyone and you need to use comparable statistics. And yes health statistics are impacted by more than just health care/system however the US and Canada have similar lifestyles and the two are far better to compare than say Sweden to the US.

Life expectancy is a basic measurement — Canada 82 (ranked 20th) vs US 79 (ranked 55th just below Panama). Infant mortality is another basic measurement — Canada 5.1 (ranked 42nd) and US 6.5 (ranked 53) . Both countries are quite bad here and Canada’s rate has actually increased. In comparison to better European countries, Canada and the US has issues with wealth disparities (lower income levels have much higher infant mortality) and geographical isolation especially native reserves. Interestingly, when looking at individual states and provinces, the Upper Midwest and New England do as well as European countries.

Looking for an overall score I found (thunderstorms cancelled my morning walk, I’m bored, thanks for the diversion) this CEO World Healthcare Index — It listed Canada 4th and the US 15th. A bit bizarre, the anecdotal familiarity I have with several systems tells me that Canada is ranked too high here.

    https://ceoworld.biz/2025/09/21/countries-with-the-best-health-care-systems-2025/

However, I also know in terms of an average adult with average health care needs, most OECD countries are similar in treatment and outcomes. I prefer the Cdn system simply because I’m familiar with it – I also know from relatives in US, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland that Canada’s single payer system is easier and better from a financial perspective. Once a year my daughter as a freelance worker in Berlin has to file paper work and choose insurance plans offered by the state. My sister – in – law does something similar in the US. In Poland, my ex-wife had to complete paperwork in her hospital bed to prove she was unemployed and the state not the employer should pay her insurance. Both my daughter and ex miss the Cdn system where you simply present your health card — no employer, no insurance company, no paperwork for the patient, etc. It’s by far the better system for the average person.

Two years ago, I went to a doctor in the evening after having pain near the appendix area. After a scan and operation, I was recovering by noon the next day and home a day later. One week paid off work to recover. Two follow up appointments. Zero cost and zero paperwork — I just presented my card at each stop — doctor, emergency ward, scan, hospital admission, etc. And a month later, I had an ultra sound and CAT scan of all my internal organs plus a colonoscopy just to ensure nothing else was wrong — zero cost and based solely on my family doctors’ recommendations, nobody else involved in my health care.

Sure if I had stage four cancer and was extremely wealthy, I would research US hospitals or if possible move to a Nordic country, same success rate. But overall, I’m content with Cdn care

For most Canadians, he was seen as a competent manager and leader as compared to who the Conservative party was offering and they weren’t wrong. I just vote socialist instead.

Most upper middle class Canadians have a retirement plan which has diversified investments outside the country. Not enough investment diversity within Canada.

A lot of Canadians study abroad. I was in the US for two years, my daughter studied in Scotland. To go to the US especially for grad school is not unusual.
