  1. The new plaque in Congress needs an update. Just one of those fine heroes….

“BREAKING: One of the Capitol Police Officers who was honored in the new January 6th plaque in the Capitol was just INDICTED on NINE felony charges including r*pe & sodomy.

Timothy Valentin would allegedly meet women on dating apps, schedule dates, drug them, and s*xually assault them.”

  2. The media have an Orange Man Bad narrative to push, facts be damned.

    “Iran CoverageThe headlines abound:

Iran Regime doing well, in control

Trump under pressure to end war

Khomeini son just as tough as Father

US responsible for missile on school

One headline after another essentially featuring Iranian propaganda as the news.

    Where are the headlines:

    50 Iranian ships sunk

    Iranian military assets destroyed

Leadership tries to put on good showing despite internal chaos

    Khomeini appointment creates hereditary theocracy

    War plan progress unprecedented

The press is a drumbeat of negativity favoring the Iran regime. It’s puzzling at this point how any success is buried.

The reality is likely the regime is being pummeled on all sides and has no ability to provide for its people. Maybe it can put on a good show for another week or two but its leadership is under immense pressure. But that’s not what the American public is getting from mainstream media.”

  3. Trash.

“They were just two normal “Pennsylvania teenagers,” y’all. They just suddenly, through no fault of their own, wound up throwing bombs — that they made themselves — at a crowd of people.

    You cannot despise @CNN enough.”

“Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather.

But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home. Here’s what we know so far.”

  4. “This also explains the corporate world. HR turned entire organizations gay, because you can’t turn hiring, firing, and policy over to mentally ill women, without getting the same result.”

“White men have been fazed out of corporate America because communists grab choke points of power and HR is one of those choke points. Communist women view everyone besides white men as rescue dogs in need of saving. So they took HR and now your son is unemployed.”

  5. Ouch….

    Yet accurate…

“I was asked by someone very close to me probably about 5 years ago what I thought about David French. They got their news from the dispatch and wanted to know what I thought.

I said it might sound extreme but it seems like French is the kind of propagandist that is meant to soothe the troubled conscience of professed Christians that know they are sinning by voting for Democrats.

    I think that holds up.”

  6. Correct!

    But the GOP is useless.

    “Let me get this straight

    > the silent filibuster isn’t in the Constitution, it’s literally just made up procedure

    > it allows a 40-senator minority to block one of the most important and overwhelmingly popular bills of all time

    > luckily, the majority could easily end the silent filibuster and do the will of 84% the people.

Except… they continue to apply loser logic

    This isn’t business as usual.

Anyone trying to support loser logic isn’t just a loser, they’re literally destroying the future of secure elections.

    Which is traitorous”

  7. Pulitzer type shots, for sure.

But be honest, you know they won’t make a big deal about the photo of the terrorist bomber.

“These are the kinds of protest photos that instantly become historical record. Amir Balat lighting the bomb in one frame, and an NYPD officer mid-air over the fence in the next, already in pursuit.

Rarely do still images preserve both the act itself and the split-second response this clearly.”

  8. Lol.

    Well, since everyone complained….

“A post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. It has therefore been deleted.”

  9. Disagree. He knows exactly how angry voters are. He just doesn’t care.

    https://x.com/i/status/2031109760741708216

“There is zero chance that Trump’s Iran actions will fracture the GOP. There is metaphysical certitude that failing to pass the Save America Act will. I talk to these voters, John Thune has no idea how angry they are.”

“Thune, it seems to me, would rather have Cornyn sitting in a Democrat controlled senate than Paxton in a GOP controlled senate. Because his goal is not to deliver wins for populist conservative voters, but to outlast Trump and put the lobbyists back in change.”

  10. It’s nice to have some actual warriors involved and leading, instead of career rear echelon bureaucrat generals.

“@SecWar Hegseth: “You know, as someone who led troops, led soldiers in the streets of Baghdad and Samarra, Iraq, and who trained counterinsurgents in Kabul, Afghanistan, and who still carries the weight of brothers lost to Iranian terrorist proxies, many backed by the same Iranian regime, were confronting now, this fight — Operation Epic Fury — it hits home. Our generation understands this fight.”

“For 47 years, these barbaric savages in the Iranian regime have murdered our brothers in arms. My guys, your guys, our guys, through their terrorist proxies and cowardly attacks. Now, they race toward a nuclear bomb to hold the world hostage.”

“The Iranians have targeted and killed thousands of my American brothers. That race to a nuclear bomb — President Trump will never allow it. Not now, not ever, not on our watch. The mullahs are desperate and scrambling. Like the terrorist cowards they are, they fire missiles from schools and hospitals, deliberately targeting innocents because they know their military is being systematically degraded and annihilated.”

“Iran’s neighbors, and in some cases, former allies in the Gulf, they’ve abandoned them and their proxies, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas either broken, ineffective, or on the sidelines. Iran stands alone and they are badly losing.”

  11. “There are currently 89 major pieces of legislation passed by the House that are “stuck” in the Senate.

The oldest bill, the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act, is 425 days old.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is 411 days old.

This is the least productive Congress in history, leaving President Trump no choice but to govern through executive orders that can be easily reversed later.

@LeaderJohnThune, what’s the plan to get these all passed and on President Trump’s desk before the midterms?”

  12. Of course….

That CNN story, which editors pulled down and edited after the fact.

But this explains the first run, and the idiocy behind it.

“So how does this article portraying the terrorists as the real victims happen?

Well, there are two authors, both “women”. .

@tayloromine is a UC Berkley grad and “nonbinary” they/them.

    And @GloriaPazmino, a Colombian immigrant.”

  13. It’s hard to fault the media for the messaging in the Iran war since the messaging from the Trump admin is minimal and contradictory. The American media is, in my opinion, quite compliant with whatever party is in charge. They just need to be led in the right direction. However, the White House hasn’t articulated any goals or end game. It’s hard to ask the media to cheer-lead when nobody knows why or what.

Yesterday, Trump said the war was almost over and oil prices dropped. Today, the Pentagon and other admin officials said they were far from done and there were more rumours over boots on the ground. And oil prices responded — someone is making money on this. Meanwhile — no one including the media is clear what is going on. How can the press report war plans are doing well when no plan has been shared and/or plans presented have been contradictory.

Its legitimate to report on the leadership succession, especially since the Trump admin was discussing options and yes the son is a conservative — do you want the media to lie about something so simple and self evident.

The US is responsible for the attack on the school and for the second attack just over an hour later. The so-called double tap — which is a war crime but common practise in Gaza. The school is on a military base but that’s not unusual — American (and Cdn) bases abroad have schools for military children. It’s not an excuse for the attacking military — they should be able to avoid the school. Its been reported that AI suggested the target and there’s been a lack of human oversight on AI targeting. (Using AI to find targets is not unusual and saves alot of time but there should be human oversight). Iran doesn’t use the type of missiles responsible and in the early days of the war, Iran was using cheap drones to overwhelm missile defences in the Gulf and Israel.

They learned this from the Ukriane-Russian war — throwing massive amounts of cheap drones at missile defence sites, some will get through. And those that don’t — it’s a $1000 drone being hit by a $100 000 missile. Given that NATO has been watching the Ukraine war for over four years, I’m surprised the US/Israel was surprised by the drone attack. They’ve now accepted Ukraine’s offer of advisers — I’m waiting for JD Vance to say thank you.

  14. The Trump effect on Republican politics continues — now a WORLD columnist admits politics is messy. I remember the days when WORLD and evangelicals condemned Bill Clinton but in today’s world of the Epstein files and Paxton’s divorce, they are more hesitant. It’s simple — Talarico scares the Republican party — sure, he will most likely lose but he will make the Republicans work for it. Right now he’s within the margin of error

The SAVE act probably won’t survive a court challenge anyway — as conservatives have long stressed, states are in charge of elections, and this bill puts the federal gov’t in charge. Every Democratic state will challenge — to ruin the filibuster for something that won’t last isn’t worth it. I find the filibuster rule bizarre but it seems both parties don’t want to dispense with it because some day they will be the minority.

Polls supporting the SAVE act don’t actually state the SAVE provisions rather its — do you support voter ID, which generally gets a majority affirmative response. However, if they were specific — should you need a birth certificate/passport in your original name to register to vote, I’m sure the answer would be different.

12:27 — NYT posting old footage as celebrations for the new Ayatollah. Sort of reminds me of FOX News posting old footage of Trump removing his hat for a military funeral as opposed to new footage where he forgot to remove it.

I don’t find his failure to remove his hat all that alarming — it happens. What is alarming, is that nobody told him. Vance and others were there, why didn’t they take three steps over and remind Trump to take his hat off? Are they afraid to tell the Emperor he has no clothes? As Trump ages, people need to know his admin will remind him of simple things.
