It is nice to be above zero. One weatherman said we would be above freezing. What he really meant was above zero. That would be a disappointment if you thought he really meant above 32 degrees. I don’t really want it that warm right now, however.
This weekend there are at least two outdoor celebrations relatively close by that need cold. One is a pre-Lenten ethnic celebration that features a snow/ice slide down to a lake. The other is a weeklong celebration that features snow sculptures. That doesn’t take in all the other snow sports that need cold and/or snow. I was delighted to see all those children, who live where there is usually no snow, sliding down hills, having the time of their lives. I suspect they appreciate it more than those who can do it regularly throughout the winter.
I laughed to see relatives in Virginia put on ice skates and skating or sliding across their yards. I am glad some can have fun.
Good afternoon. It’s 51° and slightly rainy. I’ll take that and be quite joyful about it although I would find great joy in viewing those delighting in the ice and snow activities you mentioned, Kathaleena.
Last night at 11:30 p.m. I was trying to teach Art about texting. He had sent me some photos of a chicken that had hung around outside his office door recently. Before we went to bed, I asked that he practice one more time. He sent a video of the chicken sitting atop his car hood and wrote, “Another fowl photo.” When I received the photo, I was aghast to see it had gone out on a group text thread where my name was the leading name in the group. Fifteen people in our Sunday school class got that at 11:30 p.m. Ooops!
Now Art truly believes he just can’t get texting down pat!
morning! More snow fell overnight! So thankful. We are headed for a 48 degrees high so melting is happening. I saw the red hen Janice…did he bring it home??…🐓
No. His office is on the backside of a main road so he is across the street from the owners of the chickens. He has never had one cross the road and squat by the office, lol

I was going by size when I said that owl is a Great Gray. I really don’t know for sure. If Cheryl knows differently, I would go by what she says.

Kitty Pumpkin has not been by since the Arctic Freeze hit. I will always keep thinking positive about that sweet ink blot.
